Crisp and clean. Though we aren't sailing again until the spring, we still think about it all the time. 📷: @hpm_photo

Not gonna say it was a normal day but it was beautiful. Partly cloudy, 75 degrees and beautiful. Heavy swells perfect winds. Watched a father and son tbone their rental jet ski into an anchored boat. Rescued a man headed back to his boat on his dinghy that flipped. Ollie finally got to catch some rays after a week of cold weather! Had a great time with @danielle.christmas and @tmsimon54
Stressed much? Try a Self-care Sunday. read below for some really great tips for a total mind-body recharge. 👇🏻
So I’ve been feeling a bit stressed out lately, as I know happens to all of us from time to time, some of us more than others. I’ve got a lot on my plate and a lot happening in the next few weeks. All Awesome and fun and positive things, but still a lot to handle sometimes. Yesterday I resisted the part of my brain that wanted to sit at my computer and be “productive” all day, because really it was Sunday after all, who answers emails on Sunday? And was I really actually getting anything done or just stressing that I should be?...(who else has been there with me? 🙋🏼) Instead I grabbed Oscar and his frisbee and went for a long walk on the beach. (Not a run, although that same part of my brain thought about that too 🤦🏼♀️) just a nice, relaxing walk. Getting out in nature is soothing, energizing, and often puts the smaller things in life into perspective.
Then we came home and I did 90 minutes of slow flowing, space creating yoga, mmmmmm. Seriously- ultimate. life. hack.- Yoga.
It’s also nice when you’re stressed to speak to someone who you believes in you, relates to you, or always seems to have the right words to say. So naturally I called my coach @larrycaincanoe for a chat about training, programming, and uplifting words of wisdom. 😊 (by the way if any of you ever need me to be that person for you, I’m there!)
Life often works in mysterious and awesome ways so Serendipitously my upstairs neighbor called and said she wanted to practice a new massage technique. Ummm, YES! a free 90min massage was like 3 extra tiers and icing on the cake! Massages are AMAZING for your body and mind. If you can afford one, get it! If you can’t, (I can’t) Then a long, hot bath with salts and essential oils goes a long way! (The Key here being the essential oils. my favorites for relaxing are lavender and wild orange.)
