Flashlight Tours are back this season with a (boozy) twist. Starting this Saturday, guests who are 21 or older can experience the darkness of the mansion with a drink in hand. The only caveat? Gotta keep your sippy cup lid on your glass. Plus, guests will be among the first to experience the newly opened Carriage House Living Room, affectionately called the Fireplace Room. (A space never before open to the public.) Here guests will enjoy a roaring fire, sip their drink and and learn a bit about the living space of the Congdon’s male staff. Tours are $35 per person, pint glass included 😎 21+ Flashlight Tours are offered Fridays and Saturdays January 27 - March 17. Tickets are pre-purchase only, get yours today at glensheen.org. #glensheen#flashlighttour#flashlight#21plus#housemuseum#pintglass#beer#adultnightout#nightout#nokids#museum
We’ll be going back on Friday to finish the upper levels of the #Museum. I don’t think you’d be able to get through the whole museum in one day alone, if you want to experience and learn and grow as a human with compassion and an open mind and heart to change ones views of an uncomfortable past that white folks like to shy away from because they know it was wrong. We still didn’t get to see most of the lower 2nd floor due to us spending 3 1/2 hours on the first floor from 1400-1700. #Wevegottotelltheunvarnishedtruth
