Try again!! 💪🏻 I failed college chemistry my freshman year because I wasn’t mature enough to put in the necessary work to succeed. I gave up and labeled myself as “bad at science” even though it is what I have always been passionate about. I got my bachelors in psychology and never really touched the physical sciences again in an academic capacity. But today, almost 9 years since I failed that first chem class, I am working on my Masters in Nutrition. This degree is one that I am immensely passionate about and excited to pursue. There is going to be lots of chemistry and microbiology in my future, but I refuse to let the fear of (literal) failure keep me from doing the best I can! I had my first chemistry exam this past week and made a 95%. I’m not bad at science. I WAS JUST ALWAYS TOO SCARED TO EVEN TRY A SECOND TIME. This time around I appreciate the opportunity to be in school and gain new knowledge so, so much 🙏🏻 and I refuse to let it go to waste. I will learn everything I can and put in the work and you better believe I will get that degree! I saw the opportunity for a second chance and JUMPED. In all honesty, working out this morning was NOT what I wanted to do. I actually really dreaded it.
I felt like my body was craaaaving carbs over the weekend and though I didn’t “stuff” myself, I did eat too much of the wrong food. I paid for it today, for sure. I woke up sluggish, 2kgs heavier than I was on Friday and just feeling really disappointed. —————————————
Buuuuuut, I got in there. I made it to my workout and pumped that shit out. I’ve been getting that liquid gold in me (water 💦) and I had a salad for lunch. I feel so much better. ———————————————-
