On that #nightshift and protecting myself from the flu. This past month I have seen a rise in #pregnant#women with the flu and most of these women have to be hospitalized. The flu is more likely to cause severe illness in pregnant women than in women who are not #pregnant.
Here are some flu tips for pregant women: -All pregnant women should receive a flu #vaccine -it is safe and recommended in all trimesters of pregnancy
-Wash your hands- Be sure to wash your hands frequently to avoid picking up the virus. Use warm water and soap, scrub the front and back of your hands, in between your fingers and under your fingernails for at least 20 seconds. When soap and water isn’t available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
-Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth- germs are often spread when a person touches a surface or object that is contaminated with germs and then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth.
-If you have a sick contact in the house try and avoid contact and cover your nose and mouth-often #moms have little ones at home with the flu. If this is the case try and wear a face mask while in contact and get help with caregiving. -Clean and disinfect surfaces or objects.
-Early treatment is important for pregant women.

Maybe one day, I’ll get better at having dinner BEFORE teaching my #yoga class so I’m not eating at almost 9PM...🙄🤷🏻♀️ Slowly, I’ve let meat slip back into my diet, and I want to lean toward the opposite.
1. For moral reasons. I watched a video that reminded me that eating a baby pig is no different than eating a baby dog. ☹️🐷🐶 2. When I eat a mostly plant-based diet, I FEEL better overall.

We are all busy and have a lot going on the difference between those that get there fitness session in and those that don't is - they make time for it.
You will have days that are going to be harder than others. Your motivation won't always be there.
You will get frustrated when the results aren't showing
But that doesn't mean stop, keep going, take it one day at a time because soon enough you will look back and be so proud of yourself for not quitting and giving up on yourself.
Make a plan and don't let the obstacles that happen stop you. Embrace them, know that each challenge is an opportunity for growth so find a solution that works for you. You are capable of overcoming them.

Picked little guy up from daycare because he wasn’t feeling all that well. He had a fever and just felt really uncomfortable! I immediately grabbed my peppermint touch roller and my immune support and piled my baby up. I hate seeing him down like this.
Kills me to give away my dogs but atleast i sold her to someone that will keep the pup and mom together. Out of the 100 pups I sold never seen a mother love her daughter so much, she would attack any dog or person that came near her food, I had dogs that bit there own kids if they came near there ribs or chicken treats she would let her kids take the food from her mouth they would bite her and annoy her but never would she even make a sigh. She was screaming like a human when i showed her last pup to a customer probably cuz she knew I might give her away. It's crazy how good dog mother love their kids, when human moms out here drop the kids off to the father or grandmas house to go club, drink, and get fucked. So here it goes... we all struggle. But the thing is, we choose to struggle, rather than putting in the work & making something last. I struggle with self confidence BIG time since having a baby. (Crying even posting these photos because I’m embarrassed)
Being almost 12 weeks post-partum, I thought I would have looked better, felt better and mentally treated myself better by now.
BUT I DONT. (No, I don’t blame Skyler for any of this, I lost more weight during my pregnancy and weighed less at 40 weeks pregnant than I did my entire high school years. And I’ve never believed in the saying “my baby robbed my body or I’m this way because I had a baby”... I don’t believe in any of that. You’re the way you are because you choose to be that way.
Yes, I’m breastfeeding & that takes a lot to keep up with & to fuel. But that’s truly not an excuse nor will I let that be my excuse. On days I’m able to go to the gym (rarely) I skip sometimes, would rather nap or I forget to eat and I know my body will suffer if I do, so I won’t go.
I’m not myself, I’m not happy (with my image) but I’m a mom, and a great one at that. I do more than what I need to do for my baby and would sacrifice any, “hobby” for her.
I’m learning balance - how to balance being a mom & not losing myself in the process.
I didn’t post this for validation, but more so for accountability and support for other moms like me!
So here it is... to the breastfeeding moms, to the single moms, to the moms who should be ‘grandma’-moms and all the rest of the moms... YOU ARE ENOUGH & YOU DO GREAT.
