😂😂❄️❄️ who is with me?
I have trouble regulating my temperature in extreme weather conditions due to chronic illness and I literally can't shake the cold sometimes after I've come inside for awhile. Does anyone else have this issue? I've spoken to many people over the years who experience this as well. I'm in a better place this year so I'm doing pretty well but I wanted to share my tips for warming up with those of you who may be struggling. These tips can work for you whether you're dealing with chronic illness or not.
1. Eat foods that are warming to the body, mostly cooked, and in season! This makes a big difference. Try foods like root veggies, ginger, warm stews and soups, nuts, and animal protein. If you are going to have a smoothie add cinnamon or ginger to it and don't drink it ice cold.
2. Dress in layers.
3. Have a cup of herbal tea.
4. Jump in the shower and take a warm not hot shower which is better for your skin. On days I can't shake the cold this always works for me.
5. Use a hot water bottle.
