NAME: Lush, Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo
I bought this 100g bottle of Shampoo to try it out while the smaller bottles were still available online. I was honestly just intrigued by the ingredients; Stout, yeast, balsamic vinegar and sea salt to name a few. Lush describe Cynthia Sylvia Stout as a "gentle shampoo made with beer, vinegar, and lemon juice to give your locks a glossy sheen. Tradition has it that lemon juice and beer are great for the hair, so we’ve added lots to this shampoo. Lemon juice is also a terrific cleanser, whilst stout is rich in protein, which helps give the hair body and strength." The beer is vegan and sourced locally, plus it's is rich in protein and sugars which is known to add volume to hair, alongside the fine sea salt.
REVIEW: Despite the odd ingredient list, the shampoo actually has a lovely, fragrant lemongrass scent; no off-putting vinegar/beer stench! The colour is that of a rich, dark caramel. The consistency is that of a thick gel. I find I need a decent amount when washing, in order to create the ideal lather. Rinsing out was quick and easy and once dried the scent remained on my hair for a few hours!
RESULTS: [4.25/5] While this has a scent I wouldn't immediately reach for, it does leave my hair smelling of lovely lemony lemongrass🍋I find that it adds a little volume and works almost as well as their 'Big' shampoo! Of course, my hair feels soft and clean after use. Overall, a decent shampoo, I'll definitely be buying another larger bottle!

Empty 4: Plum Snow bubble bar from Lush. I cut this one into 4 pieces so I get good use out of it. I adored it!
