Reposting this photo from @markhymanmd because YESSSS! I’ve been studying gut health in school, and I’ve been trying to come up with a post about it to talk about how important it is but there’s just SO MUCH TO TALK ABOUT regarding this topic!!!! So I’ll start with this statement — it’s so true. Our entire bodies and health revolve around our gut health. If the center of our bodies is off centered, doesn’t it make sense that the rest of us may be a little off? I could speak on this topic for daaaaaayssss so I’ll just leave this one here for now 🤓
COMMUNITY 👐🏽 Soaking up in gratitude for the connection to these people • As one that works to inspire others • It is SO nourishing to be connected with those who do the same • A gorgeous night spent with these angels aka #zengurus to #BREATHEITALLIN with @lululemonausnz@themeditationhouse
Thankyou for allowing me this time to simple "be" 🙏🏼 I needed it so so much 😘

Always felt I had strong legs ... until the past hour 😂. Ho-ly crap that was an intense leg workout! But just like that it’s over and Day 5 is in the books! ✅
What if there was a way for you to try these same workouts I’m doing for free for 14 days? Would you? Yes, you read it right ~ FREE! Who doesn’t like free shit!
Message below and I’ll give you all the info on how you can be pushing yourself to be the best you!
C’mon and do it with me!
I truly NEVER thought that I would share this picture publicly. 🔼🔼🔼 But... it truly makes me sad when people say they are toooo busy to work out, don’t have enough money to buy healthy foods and that crappy food is cheaper, or that they don’t have enough time to meal prep.... YOUR HEALTH SHOULD COME BEFORE ALL! Anyone can take a small fraction of their day for their overall health.
I get it.. you are a student, you work full time, you are a mom, you work strange hours or you don’t want to miss out on your social life. But your body needs you! It needs you to treat it right. YOUR health cannot wait.
Castro's new orders for DB snatches; only switch hands below eye level.
Happy with results with this one. Made it through more than 1 round and then some.
70 Dumbbell Snatches (50/35)
60 Wallballs (20/14)
50 Calorie Row
40 Kipping Handstand Push-ups
I’ve wanted to do this #gymleggingreview video for a very long time because every time I wanted to see a review video, all the fashion bloggers talk to much, and all I wanted to see if whether the leggings are squat proof or not and how they fit. Here you go, a very straight forward video on #gymsharkleggings. I will do another video of #womensbes, #outdoorvoices, #montiel, #lululemon in another video. I just have too many @gymshar leggings, that I have to make one video just for them.
The leggings in the videos are by order:
1. #seamlessenergyhighwaistedleggings in color #beet
2. #highwaistedseamlesscroppedleggings in color #black
For how short I am (5’1”), I try to get capri leggings if they are available.
3. #seamlessenergyhighwaistedleggings in color #lilac
These have liners as you can see. I find them awkward, I still haven’t worn then and debating about whether I should return them. Such pretty color tho.
4. #fitcroppedleggings in color #charcoal/paleturquoise
These are see-through. I wouldn’t wear them on a squat day.
5. #flexcroppedleggings in color #paleturquoise
I am not that crazy about #flexleggings anymore because they don’t compliment my body type due to the low waist. The band tends to squeeze my lower belly fat out. If you have super muscular abs, then these are for you. Also, they tend to make my body proportion look 50/50.
6. #flexleggings in color #marineblue
7. #dreamyleggings in color #chalkpink
What a pretty and feminine color.
I am 113lb, 5’1”,size xs. I wear s in gym shark leggings to prevent see-through issues, and they fit great! I like the #seamlesscollection the most because they are the most faltering leggings on me. I like the subtle conturing on leggings and glutes, the high compression holds my belly fat in, it also makes my body proportion look like I have long legs.
Valentine’s day is coming. If you don’t know what to get for girls, maybe some leggings?
Fitness Friday Ya’ll! Got my workout on with @elitefitnessofatlanta this morning and it was a tough one. Pushed me mentally and physically, but i got it done. Love a good Friday morning workout and hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! 🤗
Forcing myself to eat more lately so I can afford to do cardio cuz the extra post-workout sweat feels reeeal good 💀 Also posted an “average day of eating” story saved on my profile for those who are curious. Gonna delete soon 🆒
Day 18 of #30dayyogaliving.... trying to catch up so here is my #extendedsideangle....ohh and you should have heard all the pops that came out of my body as I got into this pose.... oddly satisfying!!! This is a great heart opener and shoulder stretch when you try the bind....just remember to soften the shoulder back and see if you can turn your drishti (gaze) to the sky (in my case the ceiling 😋)...but don't forget to listen to your body....remember that no pose should ever cause you pain...so if you feel pain and not just sensation be sure to ease out of the pose and back to your previous edge. Namaste! #mybodypops#findyouredge#yoga#lululemon@omstarsofficial@kinoyoga
Tongues out for BBG full body😛 extra lethargic today from a late night and early morning....but that didn’t stop me from hitting the gym!

STEP UPS: an exercise often overlooked for leg development and thought of as more of a conditioning exercise. Why should you include step ups into your strength training?
- They are a unilateral movement which will even out muscle and strength imbalances in each leg that are perhaps causing you to plateau in your major lifts.
- You won’t be able to use the same weight in a step up vs in a squat. This isn’t a bad thing, you’ll be able to utilise the step up to adjust your training and maximise recovery by balancing overall load throughout your training week. Step ups also don’t put a lot of load on the lower back compared to squats; a great exercise for those with lower back issues! - Step ups train leg power. If you struggle getting out of the bottom of a squat, these will improve leg strength, drive and power 👊🏻 These can be done body weight, holding a plate to the body, with a barbell on your back or with dumbbells in each hand. #thegrounduppt#thegrounduppersonaltraining#gtthobart#strengthandconditioning

Last day in paradise, a very busy week awaits but afterwards I’m ready to pack all my woolen sweaters and head to Scandinavia for an entire month. 😍🙏🏼
⚡️Shoulders⚡️I almost didn’t post this video for a few reasons: I was staring at a man staring at me right behind my husband as he was filming it😑And the cameltoe situation of these tights are definetely of concern 🤭 HAHA !! But nevertheless, it is a great combo of movements that will demolish the shoulder boulders. So at the expense of my crotch I am delivering the goods to ya ladies LOL. Thank goodness my IG community is 92% women! SAVE the work out, Use my hashtag #melissachalmers to keep me updated with your fitness posts. Tag your training buddy and let me know your requests/feedback in the comments! I always reply💃🏽

Something I really want to focus on in the next few months is my hamstrings.. I’ve concentrated on my quads for ages & ignored my hams & I’m regretting it so much now 😶 my hamstrings are soo weak😅 managed to hit 135kg hip thrusts for 5 this morning though, haven’t been above 120kg in ages just being lazy but it actually felt ok 👏🏼 moral of the story - push urself 😜
My transformation isn't the most dramatic. I didn't struggle my whole life with tying to yo-yo diet or anything like that. In the picutre on the left, I had just finished working at a summer camp all summer where the only working out I was doing was a 30 minute run every morning before campers woke up. On the right, I have CONSISTENTLY been lifting for 5 years of my life with a very clear goal in mind of the type of physique I like on myself. If there's ANYTHING I can tell you it's that results take freaking time. You're going to crash and burn VERY HARD if you're crash dieting and trying to rush results. Love yourself, give it time.
