WHY do I post on here everyday? WHY do I love what I do? Here is my WHY!
I have been an athlete all of my life. I lived to play volleyball, basketball, softball and tennis. It was all I thought about my whole childhood into my high school years. Then I went off to college and gained those "freshman 15", and was the heaviest I had ever been in my life, which was 139lbs. I was unhappy, somewhat depressed and very self conscious. At that time health and wellness wasn't something most were interested in! But I was, so I did what most people did at that time and joined a gym. I lived to go to the gym every chance I got. Fitness and being healthy was my passion. I began teaching classes and was able to get in pretty good shape. Then the pregnancies came, although I only gained 19 lbs with the first and 18 with the second, I still got kinda "soft". So when my youngest was about a year, I headed back to the gym to start all over again. I did accomplish getting back into shape but still wasn't completely satisfied with my body. So after years and years of being a gym rat, fighting for machines at the gym, I heard about this thing called Beachbody, where I could have full access to any online program they offered. I could workout whenever I wanted, wherever I wanted! I didn't have to go anywhere to get a great workout! What am amazing decision that was for me. I started with a few awesome programs, which led me to a few Facebook groups, where people do nothing but support and encourage one another. From these groups, you get ideas and workout agendas that you can join in on and most importantly, be held accountable. Yes, held accountable!! Since doing this one year ago, I can honestly say I'm in the best shape of my life. The one thing I wasn't aware of was the potential for growth that took place in me. Finally I was proud to show off my body, I'm so much happier, I eat healthier but most of all it has brought back confidence in myself! I live for the next NEW program to come out and continue to challenge myself. I am so excited about what this has done for ME! I set goals, I am consistent and I am responsible for me! I don’t know how many times a day I say “I’m not dieting”! Does anyone else feel this way? I’ve chosen to change my eating habits for a few reasons:
🔹Feeling full from fruits/veggies/protein and healthy fats is way better than feeling bloated and uncomfortable from eating CRAP
🔹I have goals to achieve and I know I’m not going to meet those goals by eating junk (don’t get me wrong I love a fresh baked cookie every once in awhile)
🔹I have a 4-6 pack in there someplace (Abs that is, not beer 😂) and as everyone knows ABS ARE MADE IN THE KITCHEN 💜 🔹 I have so much more energy!
🔹eating healthy also reduces my risk of having health issues!
