Today is the third anniversary of finding my best friend and partner. Even after three years I love them more than I can describe. They've put up with my impulsive tendencies 😅 and supported me through one of the biggest decisions of my life.
They're always supportive and even though we live states apart now when we do see each other it always feels like coming home. I miss them more than I can say and I am excited for lays a head for us. #loveislove#longdistancerelationship#transgender#gay#queercouple#homeiswheretheheartis
Back in the airport... but guess what!? I can run my business from wherever I want!! The freedom is for sure one of the best parts of this job. ALSO the fact that these ladies in this group are bringing some awesome excitement. I can’t wait to work with them!
Headed to NY for a dental interview. Nervous but super excited. I feel so lucky to have opportunities like these!!
This is a throwback to Christmas in 2017! It was our first Christmas together and when I think about those days it makes me so happy to be with Erin now 😁 there's still a few weeks between now and when I get to see her again but I can't be bothered because I know the wait will always be worth it 😊💕 ~A
in my 2nd attempt to be more personal on this account, i wanted to share a bit about my relationship. (this is us holding hands with the ring he got me for christmas ❤) we are in a very long distance relationship.
we met through a mutual friend and had a strictly online relationship for months because we are from different countries (I am from US, he is from UK). there is still a stigma around online relationships but I have met both my best friend and my boyfriend this way. (i have definitely been judged for it but it doesn't matter to me.)
anyway, we were apart the first 9 months of our relationship, together for 4 months, then apart for 8 months again. we were just recently together the past couple weeks when he came to america for the first time.
long distance is really hard but we have made it work because it's worth it for us. (in case you were wondering, quite a few of the love poems in my book are about him ❤😂)
we will unfortunately be apart for our 2 year anniversary but we will hopefully be closing the distance completely within the next year or two (we hope). have you ever been in a long distance relationship?

Being in a long distance relationship is not easy, and it always seems incredibly unfair to be so far from the girl I love.. But it is all worth it, and so this one is dedicated to her ❤
Do you guys believe long distance can work?

“Kathleen was my first friend. I was 2 years old when we ‘met’ living in Geneva, Switzerland (she’s 8 months younger than me). Our parents were close friends & our families did practically everything together. When I turned 5, my family moved to the United States & lost contact with Kathleen’s family for many years. It would be decades before the internet, specifically Facebook, came about and enabled our parents to finally track each other down. Shortly after reconnecting, Kathleen’s family arranged a trip to come visit us in the U.S. I was now 18 and Kathleen was 17. I remember having some sort of feelings for her, but I figured it was just the familiarity of our childhoods. We even briefly talked about her going to my High School prom with me, but it never happened. After that visit, Kathleen & her family returned to Switzerland and we ended up losing touch again for the next few years. Then, on April 24, 2009, my mother passed away after having a stroke. She suffered for a long time with serious health issues including diabetes & kidney failure. It was so devastating and painful to lose her. The day after she passed, I received a message on Facebook that said, “It’s Kathleen, I hope you remember me.” She was reaching out to offer her condolences. After that message, we ended up talking every day. Then one afternoon, I randomly said “What if we had never left Switzerland?” And she answered, “Well we would have probably ended up together.” That simple exchange of words changed everything. For Kathleen’s birthday, her parents bought her a flight to come visit me in Philadelphia. When she arrived, we both couldn’t deny the magnetic pull between us- which I believe was partially my stubborn mother getting her way up in heaven. Kathleen & I had no idea if we could make this relationship work, especially living across the world from each other, but a bond like ours is not easy to replace. In the end it took 7 years of being in a long distance relationship. Everyone told us it would never work, but on December 28, 2016 we proved them all wrong when I married my best & first friend. My mom loved Kathleen like a daughter & I know she is smiling down on us.”

Welcome home, baby 🏠❤️ I have waited for this day to come for the last 4 years. It wasn’t easy living halfway across the world from each other being so in love and not being able to see each other. God tested our patience, our love for each other and I’m happy to say we overcame every obstacle that was ever thrown at us. Years from now, our past will be a story. The lonely nights, hard work and lack of sleep. Knowing now how lucky we are to have made it through and we’ll find solace in the promise of a future together. So here’s to us & our new life together 🥂💏
Just because long distance is hard so I might I look at our photos a lot when we are apart.💕 (Also, I’ve been posting personal photos on a private account but do you enjoy seeing bits about my life or should I keep this account purely inspirational?!) -

WCW to @eblais47
I asked her to compete with me at the @thewodapalooza in the middle of her hockey season. She already have a crazy crazy crazy busy schedule and I added to this a little (more a lot) level of stress. She did sooooo well and impressed me everyday but especially during the swim workout (🙄🙄). I’m proud of you @eblais47 every minute of every day. I’m so lucky to have spend the last couple days with you in the sun ☀️ far from our routine. #ProfessionalHockeyPlayer#ProfessionalCrossfitAthlete#LongDistanceRelationship 🤷♀️
Ahh and thank you for taking care of me and not complaining when I’m acting like a little kid in the middle of the night (or in the middle of our warm up)🤒🤷♀️
