For February’s “Serve & Sip” @thehaiglerclub built an “Adventure Garden”! In less than two hours (w. 🍻 breaks) this awesome crew of volunteers cleared the nearby forest, built the beds/trail, planted plants, and secured a fence! Way to go. 🌱🐝🦋🌻 #HaiglerClub
Had the opportunity to hang out with a good friend today. We went many places that you usually just can’t go this time of year. Bad snow year, but still some beautiful places to visit.

The past 3 weeks this has been my perch.
I’ve been in Taupo at a friends lake house & I feel so incredibly grateful. After being on the road and living predominantly outside or in a van the past 6 months, it’s been a really nourishing few weeks. I’ve never appreciated closets, beds or ovens this much before. .
I’ve been putting in hours working with @toughtalknz & it has been such inspiring work. The goal of the project is to change what it means to be a man - to show that vulnerability is acceptable & necessary. This is in order to decrease the rate of proportionally high numbers of suicide & violence for men. .
Sam is a clinical psychologist and has cultivated free tools on mindfulness & focus, while interviewing all different sorts of men and their stories. I’ve always dreamed of collaborating on a project that really means something to me, and I couldn’t have found a better one. If you haven’t already, you should go check his and the others stories out, and share with someone you think may need it. Let’s get the message out there! “It’s tough to talk but talking makes you tough.”
Active kids become active adults. We know that statistically, kids who are overweight and obese become overweight or obese adults 80% of the time. We love getting our kiddos out and active, today we hiked about 2 miles at a local wildlife refuge 🦔
We’re just two days away from the website launch and registration opens! Riders who sign up in the first 48 hours get a free bonus bomber of the infamous Fat Tire Beer from @newbelgium_foco (Age 21+). Substitute offering will be made for the youngins 😜

Pistachio nougat wedding cake ... my favorite. ♡ ♡
The Freedom to observe the world through new prospective, new heights, new spirit. Positivity is key, and passion, determination and constancy, must lead us to reach the happiness that makes us feel free.
Since I first started using Instagram to document our transition to a mountain lifestyle and - in particular - Simba's journey from African street-mutt to veteran backcountry ski-buddy and powderhound, we've come a looong way!
I'm writing this from a flight to the US, where I'll be for the next nine days as I catch up with family in Vermont. Sitting here, bored, I was just sifting through my phone's SD card and finding lots of old photos and some videos from the past two years. As I'll be away, I think it makes sense to repost a few favourites - a sort of Greatest Hits 😉 - for a few days. Leading up to...
Next week we'll have something exciting to announce! In many ways, it's a realisation of probably the biggest goal I had for this Instagram account, and I can't wait to reveal it and get started. Encouraging people to head out into the mountains and bond with their dogs in beautiful landscapes is what this has been about all along, and we'll be taking a step up!
This first Greatest Hit is from a day in early May last year. With the lifts closed, the tourists all gone, and the snowline retreated nearly to the midstations, I shouldered my skis and we hiked up to the snow. Once there, we discovered we were literally the only two beings on this huge mountain that we'd normally be forced to share with thousands of people. I felt incredibly privileged.
My skis and skins on, and a few hundred further vertical metres of ascent complete, we found a hut that had been left unlocked, and settled in for a good picnic. I never climb any mountain without bringing a lot of food and treats - golden rule of staying motivated!
When that was over, it was time to ski down. Holding my phone and pointing it backwards as my skis kicked up the wet snow, I took this video of the pursuit.
Spotted this beautiful van whilst away in Austria and it's made me so excited about our camper again! We started project @caceythecamper last year but life got in the way and we haven't been able to finish her yet, but we will be cracking on again soon. There's always been a part of me that would love to live the van life full time... could you do it? Pack up everything and just go?
