Dear friends, the singer Franco Battiato speaks to us of human ignorance, which not only obscures the truth, but even worse, makes us believe that the illusion in which we live is, making the existence of truth itself practically unthinkable.
Everything we live, if not done consciously, represents our vision of reality, but not reality.
There is no alternative, we must awaken.

here’s to the kids. the kids who would rather spend their night with a bottle of coke and Patrick or Sonny playing on their headphones than go to some vomit-stained high school party. here’s to the kids whose 11:11 wish was wasted on one person who will never be there for them. here’s to the kids whose idea of a good night is sitting on the hood of a car, watching the stars. here’s to the kids who were never too good at life, but still were wicked cool. here’s to the kids who listened to Fall Out Boy and Hawthorne Heights before they were on MTV and blame MTV for ruining their life. here’s to the kids who care more about the music than the haircuts. here’s to the kids who have crushes on a stupid lush. here’s to the kids who hum “a little less 16 candles, a little more touch me” when they’re stuck home, dateless, on a Saturday night.
Thoth the Atlantean in Amber
Cut from one piece of Amber from Chiapas Mexico,
Hand carved in Indonesia from Pedro Michel studios
Original motif concept commissioned by @cut_edge_gems#Available#CutEdgeGems#ForSale#4sale#thoth
Thoth is credited by ancient Egyptians as the inventor
of writing, and is credited as the inventor of the 365-day
(rather than 360-day) calendar, it is said that he won the
extra 5 days by gambling with the moon, then known as Iabet, in a game of dice, for 1/72nd of its light (5 = 360/72). Thoth played a prominent role in many Egyptian myths, displaying his role as arbitrator, he oversaw three epic battles between good and evil. In each instance, a god represented order while another represented chaos. If one god was seriously injured, Thoth would heal them to prevent either from overtaking the other. Thoth was known for arbitration of godly disputes, the arts of magic, the system of writing, the development of science, and the judgment of the dead. #egypt#ancientknowledge
