This closeup of T.C. after he is wrongly convicted of a crime demonstrates the inescapable and claustrophobic situation that he has to suffer through. Although T.C. is at first enthusiastic and energetic about his future prospects after returning from war, his time in prison leads him to be more politicized and aware of the structural racism that has subjugated black people in America. The scene ends with a closeup of Dorothy behind bars demonstrating her confinement in society and perhaps foreshadowing her eventual liberation. -Norma #LArebellion#Bushmama#hailegerima#liberation

So, I went to the store yesterday & paid with cash. The cashier took the money, put it in the cash register, closed the register, grabbed my receipt, and handed it to me. I said, “Oh. You forgot my change.” He shook his head, apologized, and said, “Sorry, I’m just not used to people paying cash.” Makes me even more grateful to be on this #debtfreejourney !

After the second viewing, one metaphor that jumped out to me is that Killmonger represents the subconscious trauma and grief buried within the mentally enslaved minds and colonized grey matter of diasporan folks in America.
When he was offered healing by his Cousin King T’challa; that there could be another way,(he was not told he would be put in jail - that is a mind set - an implanted program) he chose to sacrifice himself in warrior fashion, taking out the knife and killing his own self - the shadow self of our own demise.
The true self is eternal. Killmonger, in all his magnificent death marked righteous golden burnished power, is symbolic of our own self hatred, internal anger, rage and self destruction. Yet these emotional states contain energetic potential to be transmuted into the Mind-state Of Liberation, no longer shackled by the past, our own demons, the sins of the father, the wounds of the mother, or the trauma imposed on our ancestral legacy.
We are freed from the bondage of our own mental slavery. Note that the shadow prodigal son had to return to the motherland as a transformative agent of healing, to activate the Black Panther as Wakanda spearhead’s global actions for Unity Consciousness.
We are all related. Aho! #blackpanther#mentalslavery#mentalhealth#liberation#freedom#stateofmind#diaspora#slavetrade#trauma#healing

In my mind, I’m always wearing
a buckskin dress
with my hair undone ✨
“dancing to the light of the stars
and the music that is
the wind and river
Falling on the ground
after twirling too many times
smelling the fresh roses
wrinkled in time
Drunk on life,
and my dreams.
Staring at the moon
how did I get to this night?
How has all this pain
led to something
as beautiful as this?
has such a beautiful taste.”

Embracing Change ❤
February has been a month of movement, going with the flow and RELEASE
Letting go of what no longer serves is the birth of Liberation. I release, and in doing so free up space to welcome new, delightful energy to dance around and within me
Old emotional patterns, outdated work mentalities, fake friends, fear-based decision making, disillusionment, I've been watching you.
And through conscious observation, naturally, effortlessly, they fade away.
Meditation helps Love, Focus, Truth, Confidence and Perspective take their place in my heart
When I embrace authenticity, transparency, honesty and self-inquiry, it just happens.
When I meditate and tell the Universe I am ready to release the bullshit, life shifts. Fast. Without Mercy. Full on Kali Sword style
Snow melts, leaves fall, sun sets, moon rises.
I open myself to the Cosmic YES of the present moment and am so grateful for my ability to flow through it
I hope February has been as monumental for you as it has been for me ❤
there is no logical, spiritual, ethical or any other way to justify what is happening to the most defensless beings of the earth. animal agriculture is the leading cause of the enormous damage that is done to the animals, planet and people. the longer you allow it, the more wrong and unecessary harm is done. we are already running out of time. .

I tell you that you are the creator of your entire experience of life, including me. You feel bad and get angry with me, not because what I said was untrue, but because it triggered the belief in you that says “I’m a victim of the world I see. I wouldn’t dare create something bad to happen to me.”
You created the state of being a victim, then you experienced being a victim, which reinforced the state of being a victim until you really thought you were the victim.
The only way out is to take full responsibility for everything you see, hear, feel, taste, touch, and think. Continue to adopt this point of view, and watch how your world changes.
I got back home yesterday from being at a Vipassana Meditation center since the evening of January 3rd, the thing that immediately comes to mind is that this has by far been the most productive moment of my life. Putting words to such a profound experience is difficult, but a few things do stand out.
I first sat a silent 30-day meditation course. Having so much time to delve deeply into the subconscious of the mind, to really feel the roots of craving that drive my personal burdens, was quite astonishing. It became clear how reactive patterns accumulate in the mind and come to control our behavior. There were moments were I could feel how many times I had personally repeated habits throughout my life that did not serve my happiness or freedom, allowed my thoughts, words and actions to be dominated by my pursuit of pleasure and how quickly these decisions would add up and accumulate in my mind, affecting me then and now.
At the same time, I felt a profound gratitude to have a technique that could release these patterns and transform my life for the better. I did my first 10-day Vipassana course back in July of 2012, since then, after doing numerous courses and starting to meditate daily at home, the results have been significant. I am not perfect or enlightened, I still make mistakes, I am not fully healed, difficult days still come and go, but the heavy patterns that cause so much misery are decreasing, steadily I am moving forward into living a lighter life that respects my freedom and allows wisdom to serve as my guide. Letting go has truly helped make room for more happiness.
After the 30-day course was over I had the opportunity to serve the students who continued meditating (there was a 45 day course that began the same day as the 30 day course). Serving involved working in the kitchen and helping set up the dining halls, it was an incredible and inspiring time, serving alongside people who take the path seriously and have themselves felt the powerful and purifying effects of this technique. Being surrounded by people who take their healing seriously gives me so much hope.. Continued below 👇🏼 #yungpueblo
The whole Bricks Without Straw episode needs some reframing.
God knew that the Israelites were very attached to their awful life in captivity just like many of us are.
They had formed an odd attachment to Pharaohs world similar to kidnapping situations today sometimes called 'The Stockholm Syndrome'
God knew that the problem was not Pharaoh letting them go but them letting Pharaoh go.
Bricks Without Straw was God's way and still is of helping us to realise that Pharaoh is not our friend and that Moses is not our enemy.
WITHOUT AN ENEMY YOUR PRESENT IS PERMANENT! Cos enemies create movement but friends create comfort 👊
