They say you can't buy happiness, but you can buy tickets to an all inclusive resort in Dominican Republic and sip a margarita while listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. I say that's pretty close 🏝️ I'm dreaming of my next trip down south. Planning on going in April or May ☀️ What is your next warm weather getaway? Let me know! #julyitinerary
The Pantheon was one of my favourite buildings in Rome 🤩
Seeing the Pantheon actually had me feeling quite overwhelmed. The sheer significance of it was incredible. The pillars were made from pure granite and pretty much in impeccable condition considering it’s been standing for 2000 years! I read a little about the Pantheon and I read that they sailed those pillars from Egypt. They weigh roughly 60tons EACH, imagine that by boat. Incredible!
Have you seen the Pantheon? What did you think when you first saw it?

Talk about perfect timing! I love watching the sunrise and sunset. After it poured rain all day in Paris, I didn’t think it was going to be much of a sunset. It poured rain again when we got to this bridge. We hid under a bus stop covering, but suddenly the skies opened up enough to let the light come through. We ran back over to Pont de l’Alma to take some pictures. It only lasted about 10 minutes, but we were so thankful that God parted the clouds enough for the sun to get through and set them on fire.

Have you had something work out in your life or your travels where the timing was perfect? I’d love to hear about it!

That time when @graemetwine nearly got swallowed up by a raging waterfall in Ecuador 🇪🇨 ::::::
The biggest risk in life is never taking risks at all! But this was certainly one of those moments we look back on and say “What the hell were we thinking?”. Ecuador had just experienced torrential rains before we arrived and this made for some spectacular experiences - canyoning, ziplining and biking down the valley of the waterfalls. Fun times!
Close to home or far from home, there’s always something new to discover, experience, learn, or try... We love this world - its colors, its flavors... its diversity!
There are many reasons to travel - to visit loved ones, to get away, to switch it up, to find perspective, to satisfy your curiosity, to seek knowledge, to feel a certain way...
If you had to give one reason why you travel (or want to), what would that be?

Who says you need a ball to play? 🏀😄
This weekend I’m helping @instagram celebrate the power of movement, inspired by the Winther Olympics #WHPmoveit
There will be ups and downs to my experience. Not every day is or will be easy but the simple kindness of humans shows so clearly when your away and out of your comfort zone. No matter what language barrier or race. Thank you @valentinchens for picking me up when I was down ✨

I love love vintage shopping and Pittsburgh surprised me so much with the quality and unique pieces from the various stores I wandered in. Something random about me is that whenever I have a vision of what I want in my closet I head to a vintage store and if needed I alter it myself or ask my mom. (I’m wearing a vintage belt in this pic). Thanks to the lovely owners of all the vintage stores in Pittsburgh for not also trying to rip you off on the prices. #vintageshopping#vintageclothes#myloc
I wasted a large part of my life being ashamed of my culture.
I was born and bred in South Africa to Taiwanese/Chinese parents. I am as much South African as any of the other kids surrounding me. Yet I never felt like I belonged. Growing up I never understood why people would treat me as a foreigner when went to school with them, spoke the same language as them, participated in the same activities. To this day, I still have people stare at me in public as if I’m an alien. I realized what set me apart from everyone else was something that defined a large part of myself. I resented having to take different lunch than the other kids to school, attending Chinese lessons on Friday instead of going to a pool party, not being able to have a boyfriend because I had to maintain my straight A’s. People would view me with so many negative stereotypes to the point that at one stage I wished I was born a different race.
I often laugh when SA is referred to as the rainbow nation. As diverse a country as we are, we are still not very accepting of each other. Not being able to feel like I belonged in my own home country put a strain on my relationship with my culture, I don’t feel more at home when I go to China or Taiwan. In fact I feel even more alien than I do in 🇿🇦. Of course because I’m older now I’ve learnt that culture isn’t something you can turn your back on and I’m learning to embrace my roots. But perhaps because I’ve been searching for an ‘identity’ for so long it makes me belong nowhere and a little bit of everywhere at the same time. And today I am infinitely grateful for my multi-cultural background because it has taught me so many things about life. .
Happy Lunar New Year 💥✨🏮
