A 400bhp salute to an ICON
A very limited edition Defender utilising a Works 5.0-litre V8 devolving 380lb ft, making this very special Defender the most powerful and fastest yet made - 0 to 60mph in 5.6 seconds is far from 'tame' - the standard Defender churned out just 120bhp and 266lb ft. The Works lump pays homage to early V8's such as the Series III Stage V8 and the 50th Anniversary Edition.
The Land Rover Classics 70th anniversary Works Defenders are fitted with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission with sport mode, along with uprated brakes, a handling kit consisting of springs, dampers and anti-roll bars, and exclusive 18in alloys with 265/65 tyres
Eight colours will be offered, with contrasting black roof, wheel arches and grille whilst the interior will have a leather dashboard, door panels, headlining and Recaro sports seats and use the Land Rover Classic heritage arm’s infotainment system.
The Works 70th anniversary models will be available in both 90 and 110 wheelbase Defender Works V8 models will be available from £150,000.
