Today’s mission complete ✅ Like a lot of men, my other half has trouble visualising how things will look when finished. He’s particularly struggling with the kitchen/dining room as we have to take the wall down. I’ve been a woman on a mission today and have managed to find two new-builds with almost identical kitchen dimensions to what ours will eventually have. Our decor will probably be very different and the room will be configured slightly differently as we’ll be moving and blocking up certain doors, but even I’m surprised with how much better it will look as one room 😍
Happy Sunday! Hoping you’ve all had a fab weekend so far, ours has been busy! (As always!) 🙈 I cannot believe half term is coming to an end! This week has just flown! Chilled morning then lots of wrapping and packing for us today before back to normality next week! Have a lovely day all 💗
So this is our very retro (and not in a good way) kitchen. It’s the original kitchen that was put in when the house was built back in 1950. It’s definitely seen better days. Before we move in we’ll be knocking down the supporting wall that separates the kitchen and dining room to create a far more useable space. Nothing an RSJ and a few strong men can’t fix 💪
Moodboard for the kitchen/diner - it has moved on from from the original plan, but I still love that wallpaper. I’m notoriously fickle and my taste is constantly changing (which is a pretty expensive habit when it comes to interiors) so I wanted to challenge myself as much as possible to use items we already own. The only thing we really need to get are new dining chairs, which I don’t feel very guilty about as the ones we have were only ever meant to be temporary.
