Young Herald snake 🐍 I was walking around at night with a group of friends and it shot out of some shrubs in front us and everyone scattered ( I wonder why 🤔) I love snakes so I couldn’t let this opportunity pass by without investigating further. For a small snake it sure had some fight in him I grab it by the tail as soon I recognised that it was a herald snake ( it is slightly venomous, but venom isn’t dangerous to humans). Put it in a container for relocation to a safe place. The next day had a quick photo session before I released it👍🏽. Guys remember unless you are 100% sure do not try to grab the any snake and it is best to just back away slowly!👍🏽 #photography#snakes#wildlifephotography#kenya
MYCORPS MISSION 5 @ AFRICA [UPDATE FROM MBALE, UGANDA, TEAM KIBUKU 🇺🇬] It took us around 7hours to travel 250km away from Kampala town to Mbale town because of bad traffic. We managed to find an affordable rented house and spent one whole day fill up the house with basic needs in 2months time.
10th January marked our first day of ground zero assessment over the kibuku district. We visited Arrahman Islamic School, which a developing project initiated by Kibuku CC and sponsored by One Life Global Welfare . It is the first islamic school in Kibuku district. The school can afford 180 students and have 6 classrooms. All the students are consists of the orphanages and needy kids. Then we met Mr Waigonda, the Sub-county of Bukhulo region. A lot of issues were shared and we also discussed on potential and sustainable project we can work on for the beneficiaries.
The next day, we went to Tirinyi Health Center in Pallista. The center with only 7beds in maternity ward is supposed to cover around 15 villages. With no ambulance and other labs facilities, they are striving to give the best free medical service to the community. Later we have a short visit to Madrasah Noor Islamic. The school was in a poor condition and lack of facilities. Unlucky for us because the students are having their school's holiday till Febuary. Our last destination of the day was the Budaka Health Center in Budaka district. The HIV clinic's coordinator is welcoming us to be a part of volunteers and we are very anticipate it!
