I met a French girl on my way to Nagarkot. She had been living in Nepal for 5 years. When I asked the reason, she said, "I fell in love with Nepal and wanted to live here for a while." I asked, "Wasn't 5 years enough?" She said, "Non, not good enough." To make a living, she taught English in a local school. She visited the sunrise tower every morning before leaving for school.
She said, "It's like Yoga, a habit, a necessity. Something that keeps me going and makes me feel like home. It reminds me that my family also watches the same sun and breathes the same air. That way, we are always connected." Deep!
I asked if she missed her family? To which she replied that she did and visited them once a year whenever possible.
She also offered me a cup of tea that she had made for herself. The best one I have had recently! And accompanied me till here, from where I could watch the Kathmandu Valley.
I couldn't decide what I liked more? That amazing girl or the view! Mesmerising!
