Saturday 2/5pm we will work with a Forrest Yoga practice and then work with meditations and journaling around setting intentions. Join us for a special workshop with Rosalind Forrest Yoga, combining a dynamic asana practice with meditation and contemplation to kick off the new year in a positive style!
What magic would you like to weave into your life in 2018? The first part of this workshop provides an opportunity to connect deeper with yourself through a juicy, delicious Forrest Yoga practice to start to figure out where you want to go in the year ahead. This will be followed by a session on intention setting; working with meditations and journaling exercises, and culminating in crafting your own vision board to keep inspiring you throughout 2018.
Things to bring: a notebook and pen, magazines you don’t mind cutting up and your magical self!

Find some time today to be with yourself. Allow your breath to occur without changing or controlling it, observe the physical sensations of your inhale and your exhale. The breath is always what is going on right now in this moment, anchor yourself in the present moment.
Be present with yourself.
Kapotasana is like a 👑. It's a pose that demands to be felt. ..😱 or is it because i haven't practiced it for more than a year///i was just working on my back 🏋🏽??😅 (*thank you to my coaches yesterday: spartan and pull-up goals!!!😁💪🏼) Ever since i focused on handstands i limited my backbend practice because i wanted to work more on core strength and awareness to avoid 🍌back-ing... But okayyyyy.. like i like saying in class, let's balance strengthening with lengthening... Andddd they say you're only as young as you're spine is flexible. ..👵🏼👴🏽👧🏻👦🏽👶🏻😉 ...Sooo these are two backbends i want to work on and track progress in. I don't like claiming i can do a pose unless i know i can hold it with calm steady breaths and i can enter and exit with control.. I hope to be able to breathe better in Kapotasana, while i hope to reliably enter and exit shalabhasana (this is the most controlled entry i can do-only from the left hip flexor...

Last nights New Moon Gathering was Beautiful. Empowering. Necessary.
I set the theme for the night with the focus on Coming Home. In other words, self-love & Self-care. What that looked and felt like to each of us. Truths were shared and ah ha moments were had.
When we hear about the New Moon, we think of new beginnings, a new cycle, and our opportune time to manifest.
I believe that true manifestations can occur when you genuinely feel good. When you feel right within. When your heart and mind are aligned.
Setting the tone by -coming home- to begin our intentions and manifestation process for the year, just feels so right.
When you give it some thought, there is truth in the saying, “We attract what we are.” If you are setting the intention of attracting, for example, more abundance or love into your world but deep down genuinely hold feelings of unworthiness, that you don’t deserve, that you aren’t good enough, or hold fear towards these things in some way, THIS is truly the energy that is being responded to.
Like wise if you are constantly holding the mindset of I need I need I need, then you will remain in that vibration of lack and constantly feel that you are in need.
So from here forward, CHOOSE, to come home. Your world begins within by honoring You.
Caring for you.
Listening to you.
