The PolarWalk will be in downtown Decatur, Texas. We will take in the sights and sounds of old downtown Decatur, which is about 25 miles west of Denton on Highway 380. We will meet in front of the Wise County Courthouse.
The square is home to the courthouse, antique shops, cafes, guitar store, boutiques, and mush more. There are two really nice Coca-Cola painted buildings and a Welcome to Decatur mural. Close to downtown is the El Castle mansion and the Petrified Wood Gas Station.
The photo walk begins at 9:30 and ends at 11:30 AM. We'll find a place to eat in the square after the walk. See you there!
You can't really see it, but the bag's message is But First Coffee. Which makes this tote one of my favorites because it has my life's motto on it. (Speaking of bags, I have many favorite book bags... how many is a person allowed to have before it's called hoarding?) (asking for a friend, btw).
• I'm holding my #currentread , Angels & Insects by A.S. Byatt. So far it's well-written and I'm enjoying it, but the story hasn't really grabbed me yet either.
• p.s. I visited yet another new bookstore yesterday. As much as I enjoyed it, it was actually the bakery next door to the bookstore that I enjoyed the most. It had lines of people holding cups of hot sea salt coffee or iced milk teas while balancing trays piled high with the most delectable breads and cakes.
• p.p.s. I'm using @hilaryrushford#stylemefeb style challenge this month along with the #februarywearwhatwhere challenge by Katy @wearwhatwhere .
Anyone want to join me? :)
