Are you tired of snow pictures yet?
As much as I love the snow and the fascinating shapes it gets molded into by the wind, it can make for very monochrome landscapes.
Sure, the snow can take on the colors of a sunrise, but it's fleeting color. I'm starting to get excited to see the forest come alive again and turn into vibrant shades of green. I'm definitely excited to see the rivers thaw.
Speaking of wind, it gets a little windy here. Underneath all of that blown snow is a very frozen Joe Wright reservoir. Fun fact: Joe Wright is one of just a few bodies of water in Colorado that the Arctic Grayling calls home. Graylings are gorgeous fish with an oversized, iridescent dorsal fin. It looks like a sail made out of rainbows. They're very striking and they're fun to catch too.
