I wouldn’t of had this cracking beach all to myself for the last 2 days if it wasn’t for the Winch and Unwind Rig👌🏼 Unfortunately I had to pack up this morning and keep heading north😕
I reflect on when I came back to Melbourne 8 months ago and while I still have a lot to learn, I’m actually amazed at how far my photography has come since then. I’ve always viewed my home as being quite dark and moody and I was determined to learn how to express that in the photos that I take. What started as some fun travel photography has grown into a passion for getting outside as often as possible and capturing Mother Nature in all her glory. I can’t wait to explore and photograph other parts of this amazing world we live in.

Sydney / 11.2 / Koalas / 🐨 /
Koalas are cute AF, there is no other way to say it, and they are the cutest creatures that exist. I had never seen one before and at first they kinda looked like Teddy bears. Did you know that Koalas sleep 22 hours a day? Talk about life goals.. well maybe I wouldn’t like to sleep that much but just the idea of doing so sounds amazing. Aw cuteness overload.

What is your opinion on editing Instagram photos?
I personally think that photography is an art, just like painting or sculpture, and therefore it doesn’t have to completely represent reality. So I believe that manipulating Instagram photos on Lightroom or Photoshop is totally fine, as long as your are honest about it! It’s up to you whether you want your photos to be a complete representation of reality, a creation from your imagination, or a mixture of both.
For the sake of honesty, I’m happy to admit that I play around with the colors on all of my photos - usually nothing extreme though. I also smooth out my skin in most close-up portraits because travel breakouts are the WORST. .
Check out my story to see what this photo looked like before I edited it! And let me know in the comments: do you edit your photos? Do you think it’s a form of self expression or that it’s simply misleading?
