There’s a line in one of my favorite worship songs that speaks of letting Jesus be “the echo of my days” and I’ve been resonating on those words a lot this week. When I hear the word echo, my mind immediately goes to this place, Sylvan Lake. One of the holiest moments I’ve ever experienced took place on top of the rocks in this photo. A friend was singing the name of Jesus and it echoed through what felt the entirety of Custer State Park. My hope and prayer as I sat in this place again today is that my life echoes Jesus- His love, His goodness, His joy, His grace. I’m a little late to the game, but declaring echos of His name over 2018- to finding creative ways to love the people around me well, to chase hard after the truth, and to fully surrendering the hurt of 2017 to Him.
