This is the not-as-fun side of ski adventures.
Packing up all the gear and equipment, wrestling with ski boots, and taking gloves on and off to make sure everyone is zipped and buttoned up.
We all hate it, really. But the second we get to the chair life, no one cares about all the work to get there. We're just happy to be out there. 🎿 ⛷
My kids know the rule. I won't help you, so if you can't get up by yourself, you're not getting up. From a *very* young age (she's 2.5 now, so you see what very young must mean), this one has tackled every height, attempted every rock wall, and nearly made me retract my rule and keep her grounded. "Fat chance!" would have been her response, so I don't even try. I just start praying when we get to the playground. Trusting my kids to know their limits is terrifying. Letting them learn those limits takes patience I don't always have and gives me gray hair. But letting them learn young will solidify their trust in themselves when they're older, building essential confidence.
I believe there is great power in knowing which limitations are worth respecting. I might just freak out in the process.
Tomorrow's #WelcomeToWinterFestival is going to be amazing! Let's Talk Mid-Layer!
Mid-layer or Insulating Layer is Step 2 in the 1-2-3 Layering System! If you haven't grabbed your PDF guide to this simple system yet, hop over to our website (link in bio!) and submit your email to get all the best info and a discount code valid through Monday!!
The middle layer in our 1-2-3 System is all about INSULATION! Adding a warm buffer in the middle of our layers is what will keep your toddlers happy and playing the day away even in the craziest weather.
Before you just throw on another sweatshirt or pair of leggings over your child's gear, it is important to know that this piece of gear is the difference maker that makes those old puffy marshmallow suits items of the past.
Rather than buffering our children against the blustering winds and temperatures with inches upon inches of fabric that make it difficult to run, jump, stomp, and play, consider instead a fabric that was specifically designed and manufactured for outdoor use and has stood the test of time.
Fleece is a man-made material that was designed to mimic the sheer wool layers on sheep that insulate and protect from the elements! It was specifically design to retain warmth without adding bulk!
Fleece is lightweight, quick-drying, heat-retaining, and best of all -- loose enough and thin enough to allow for full range of motion for your littles! Even better, Biddle and Bop feature fleece coveralls like this one, or 2-piece suits made of fleece and quilted thermal options as well.
Let the waddling, puffy suits of yesteryear be gone! Make outdoor play this year actually outdoor PLAY again!
Be sure to grab your guide and discount code from our website with all the info you need! Select your perfect gear from our curated collection over at Biddle and Bop's online shop and say goodbye to the wintertime blues!🌿
Join us tomorrow for the Outkast for Life Winter Games! Come out for a great cause and compete in either our boarder/skier cross or freestyle rail jam. Stick around for the after party in Kink. Register with link in our bio. #mountaincreeknj#getoutandplay#mctp
