Tonight’s dinner got me like 🤤 I am 100% convinced I am in food heaven, this bbq tempeh recipe and these Japanese sweet potatoes I found @wholefoods are life.
I’ve never tried Japanese sweet potatoes but I think I might like them even more than regular ones 🤭 so sweet and full of flavor.
Now for the bbq tempeh marinade - I combined hickory smoked bbq sauce, agave, turmeric, pepper, a dash of @braggs soy sauce, and evoo then let them marinate. (Let me know what you all think of this! My tempeh surprisingly had a lot of flavor compared to how I usually would make it)
Dinner is jam packed with SO MUCH GOODNESS for my body and wellness. Because what you eat #matters. What we choose to consume has an affect on vibrations we give out, our physical being, mind, and health. Eat with #mindfulness ❤️ .

Today, while I decided to read & relax a little, Nico & Noah jumped and socialized their energy out! 🙌🏼💪🏼😛
As I read and peaked to check up on them, noticed they were taking time to help other kids learn how to front & back flip! It felt good knowing again, I have no need to worry about them socializing, showing kindness and helping other kids! ❤️
Another moment to continue my trust in this parenting journey I decided to take! Continue trusting that even though it’s a lot of work and dedication to homeschool and unschool a child, it can work! It can so definitely work! 💪🏼

Goodness I really need the weekend to be here. Friday can’t come soon enough! Curried Tuna and Roasted Vegetable Salad for dinner this evening. Curry roasted mixed vegetables tossed with @wildplanetfoods tuna over a spinach bed and a spicy lemon curry dressing. Hope you all enjoyed your Thursday!
Pop up store inside christchurch casino. (Grand cafe)
Most fancy dessert I’ve had in Christchurch so far.
Love the flavours, textures and the details of each dessert. It shows how much effect and time the chefs had put in to it.
I would like to thank Emily for inviting me. Loved my first experience. That's why I've been back for my second time already! 😁😁 I love the concept and these dessert ideas! Just what we needed in Christchurch.
Prices are reasonably cheap for what you get but most importantly is that you don't just pay for the food itself. You pay to see the effect that the chef had put into the dessert from matching flavours, textures and platting up the dessert. It's more a plate of art. .
I had the ”melt” which is the chocolate & raspberry mousse.
I’m not a super fan on chocolate so this dessert was a wee bit too rich for me but it still tasted amazing!! Also it’s so satisfied watching it melt away, so I recommend to give it a try if you like chocolate!
Would be good if they had like a matcha flavour mousse inside and then pour the hot chocolate over it. I think it would balance out a bit more.
I also had the parfait by peach which was very tasty too! Still a wee bit on the sweet side for me but it was refreshing! Lots of details on the plate and textures!
THE POP UP STORE ONLY AVAILABLE UNTIL THE END OF MARCH!!!!! I’m heading back next week to try the soufflé! See you there?! 😁😉😉
What a sight. 😍 Take a look at our two-meat plate: brisket & sausage, barbecue-baked beans, mashed potatoes, and garlic toast!

Early on in our marriage, we hung out with a couple and really enjoyed our time together. At first there were casual dinners and a random game night, but as we began spending more time with them, we noticed a shift. The wife was extremely critical of the husband. She’d call him names, criticize his character and treated him like he was a burden to her. Honestly this rubbed off on me. I began picking at every little thing Casey did or said and began focusing on all of his negatives. I’m not saying it was this friends fault but I strongly believe that we can be influenced by the people we spend time with. We’re not suggesting that your only friends be ones with healthy marriages but we always encourage couples to find other couples that they can be messy and authentic with. Find couples who are actively working on their marriage and will encourage you to do the same. Sadly we are no longer friends with this couple because we couldn’t stand the negativity and it was impacting our own marriage. #marriage365#ichooselove#foodforthought#chooseyourfriendswisely
