When I first started my fitness journey I was 17, and from the get go, I was all in.
The night I decided to start I woke up at 2am, looked in the mirror (felt very depressed with my weight), jumped on the treadmill and walked 4 hrs str8. Lol
I did that everyday (4-7 hrs a day of cardio -waking/biking)
For 13 months
I lost 50lbs of fat
Since then... I've gained back lean weight..not in fat; in muscle.
I'm as lean as I've ever been in my life... and getting leaner.
Through the journey tho... I was often judged by my family as being ...unbalanced , and stupid for my commitment.
Laughed at for my eating choices ... and encouraged to compromise my changed standards
I remember them telling me "ur wasting ur time... there are more important things. You are becoming obsessed with this." Damn right I was ! 😆😊
3yrs later I'm still completely dedicated to my fitness
And still going hard...
Setting new goals, deadlines to meet, striving to continually better myself.
Wanting to become the best version of me! ...so to the haters, doubters...
Call it what u will .... obsessed so be it.
I know who I am. I know what I want. I know what it takes... and I will have it. ✊️!!! #fitnessjourney#fitnessquotes#obsessedwithfitness#iloveworkingout#bestversionofme#lostweight#weightlossjourney
〽️3 EXERCISES FOR A BIGGER BACK🦍〽️
1️⃣ Numero uno) DEADLIFT - in my opinion one of the best exercises full stop. The deadlift gives you serious bang for ya buck so start investing in them💸
2️⃣ Numero dos) PULL-UPS - whether it’s neutral grip, wide grip, underhand grip, weighted, assisted just do them!! If you struggle with pull ups you can start off by stepping up into the contracted position and then lower yourself down as slowly as possible..OR.. instead of trying to do 3 sets of 10, try 10 sets of 3 EMOM (every minute on the minute) so do 3 reps, rest 60 seconds and then another 3 etc.
3️⃣ Numero tres) T-BAR ROW - oh papi...that is all 😈🤣
There is no “I” in TEAM. You may have the strongest SUPPORT TEAM; but it’s still YOUR “body and health”.
YOU have the choice to get YOUR 🍑 to the gym.
YOU have the choice to cook and prep your meals.
YOU have the choice to eat on time everyday.
YOU have the choice to do YOUR cardio.
YOU have the choice to train more effectively.
And the list goes on... 💯 .
Long post alert 🚨
Do this was me about 8 months ago. Now this was me before life and depression hit. I turned too food for comfort and I stopped working out but that's not the point of the story. At this time I was obsessed with YES being healthy and fit and I was doing it the RIGHT WAY but I was obsessed w/ being skinny. I didn't want to gain weight again. That's the problem we all want to be "skinny" that we tend to stray away from all the right reasons of why we started. That was me on the left and how I really felt. I was so scarred to gain weight again. Fast forward to now, 2 days to be exact. I got my gym rhythm back and I'm into my workouts again.. and I feel so much happier not only mentally wise but because I love where I'm at now. I'm happy with my body. I'm not looking at myself saying I'm too fat I need to get skinny again. Mind you I went up a size 😬 but I'm happy where I'm at and I'm not looking to lose more weight I literally want to tone my body from here. I just want to shout out IM HAPPY WITH MY BODY, I LOVE MY BODY. That's the best feeling in the world ❤️❤️ My fitness journey started w/ @fitgirlsguide and it help me really helped me jumpstart my journey and now I'm back at it! 💋

This account has really helped me in all ways, and I’m excited to what the next year brings 💖 tagged some people which mean everything to me, who have inspired me, supported me and just been there for me! I wish I could tag you all but it restricts me to only 20 ✨I legit need to tag at least about 30 more people 😩

A lot of people forget, I know where you’ve been. I spent my entire life in a bad place with a bad relationship with food that ruined so many of my years on this planet that should have been amazing. When I talk to people sometimes I get the “you don’t know what it’s like, you don’t know what I’m dealing with” mentality. Oh honey, you have no idea. I may not be there right now at this exact moment but that’s because I CHOSE to be I control and change my life. It’s not easy, I’ll give you that. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. But I’ll ALWAYS know EXACTLY what you’re going through. And if I made it out, YOU CAN TOO. ✨ #myweightlossjourney
Deadlifts is one of my favorite and hate exercise but I do it anyway. Why? Because I endure pain and gains. Always keep your chest out and back straight when your doing deadlifts. And most importantly, make sure that you breathe! So don’t be “Dead” when you “lift”, Breathe! Follow my fitness journey!
I did it again.. Reality check ✔️ Simple things, like shoving your shorts up your crack, can enhance or accentuate certain parts of your body. Just keep this in mind as you're scrolling through Instagram. Your body (or booty) inspo is probably a wedgie queen. Not saying there's anything wrong with it, but we know our angles and what flatters our bodies the most.
