Gestern habe ich einen nicht geplanten Restday eingelegt, denn in dem Moment, als ich los gehen wollte ins Training, habe ich einfach bemerkt, dass der Akku leer war und ich mich zwar durchs Training quälen hätte können, aber dann wäre der Akku heute noch leerer als gestern. Deshalb habe ich gestern einen Refeedday eingelegt, bei dem ich mit meinen Kalorien einfach auf die Erhaltungskalorien gehe und schon gehts mir heute viel viel besser, ich brenne auf das Training nachher und ich bin seit endlich mal nicht mit Hunger aufgestanden.

Those who have followed me since the early days will know of my special relationship with this girl, Jepkemoi. I wanted to share it today, as my latest VLOG upload on new YouTube channel recaps how I met Jepkemoi, how I found her mother days away from death, and how we together crowdfunded to change this families world. Life’s beauty is inseparable from its fragility. ➰ As a personal trainer, sometimes is part of my job be a life coach and help my clients to overcome daily life situations to reach those health and fitness goals. I am an absolutely addict of Ted Talks @ted and yesterday while I was watching one of these amazing speeches I heard something that I’d love to share with all of you. All of us go through situations in life that make us feel unhappy, dissatisfied and depressed. As a solution we judge ourselves for having so -called “bad emotions “ like sadness or even anger. Or try to push aside these feelings. Being P O S I T I V E has become a new form of moral correctness. People with cancer are automatically told to just stay positive. Women, to stop being so angry. And the list goes on. It’s cruel and ineffective. Research on emotional suppression shows that when emotions are pushed aside or ignored, they get stronger. I love being happy. I'm a pretty happy person. But when we push aside normal emotions to embrace false positivity, we lose our capacity to develop skills to deal with the world as it is, not as we wish it to be. You can try change all sorts of parts of you, physically, mentally, emotionally and even spiritually but if you do not love who you are through the journey and who you are becoming then you will never be happy. Always searching for that next thing to make you happy, grasping for straws when you know there will never be an end. -
I get it, so many insta accounts are preaching this at the moment and you are so not interested in hearing it. But take a moment to think about that, why does it bug you for people to push this notion? Why do you shy away from digging into all the issues that have set your insecurities? -
My current 6 week challenge is touching on this along with health and fitness because I do not believe they can be separated 💞
RACE FOR NANNA. You may have seen on my story a few days ago I posted that I am going to be running a 10k for @cr_uk and will be doing some fundraising because my Nanna is kicking cancer’s arse, and I want to show her how proud I am that she is doing so!
It was only 2 weeks ago I started running - up until this point I had never really run before. I was always told because of my knee injury I wouldn’t be able to do it. But if you know me, you’ll know i don’t take no as an answer. And so, thus I am running a 10k. It’s not for a while but I’m gonna train hard so come race day, not only can I get the distance I’m also going for time! 🏃🏻♀️

Gestern Abend war ich beim Crewrun der @pace_pack_runners . Ich habe mich wieder der 5.30iger Gruppe angeschlossen und hatte einen entspannten, kurzweiligen Lauf. Hinterher trafen sich alle Pace-Gruppen wieder in der Stehbierhalle von @bergmannbier auf ein Getränk. Ich hatte eine Apfelschorle.😉
