Had an awesome session with @jwils500 This was part of our leg day finisher. It is a neuro-set focused on the hamstrings, utilizing barbell good mornings, kettlebell swings, and a straight leg bridge. Essentially, a grind, a ballistic, and a static hold. We did this for 3 rounds after squats and deadlifts. Efficient and effective.

I truly love destroying myself - especially at the end of a workout. This is a great time to really make sure you are challenging yourself and using all the gas left in your tank. I find this is how I can really build my cardio fitness without compromising muscle mass 💪🏼💪🏼👍🏻👍🏻💦

Quick cardio finisher one of our groups did last night:
1 pair went from the Air Assault to Rower.
The other pair went from med-ball squat-to-chest-pass into hand plank with alternating med-ball push to partner.
30s each with minimal rest in between exercises, 1 minute of rest in between sets... 2 x through.
While most athletes think finishers, "suck" - they are important part of our programs that integrates functional strength training with short bursts of high-intensity cardio.
Finishers get the heart rate up, burn some extra calories at the end of a workout and suck just enough (but not too much) to be great for team building amongst clients and athletes.
Last Sunday, coach @pat_phil_loc_cap and I participated the 50km Gran Fondo at the PruRide Ph event... It was a long painful ride (at least for me) .. all the uphills were brutal on the legs and we passed through a lot of them... Coach Pat made easy work of the ride and finished early... I struggled with cramps and finished later... I enjoyed the view of the countryside during my stops and the cool wind breezing to my face while riding my bike...
