This was Brucie's first time having Filipino food and first Filipino party! For those of y'all who don't know, Filipinos throw huge parties with TONS of food and Jammie was so excited that Brucie was gonna get the full experience. All the titas (aunties) kept telling Brucie to go back for more food and try what they made and by the end of it, they asked what his favorite dish was. He said "panget" (which in Tagalog means "ugly") 😂 In his defense, panget was the first word Jammie taught him and it's relatively close to what he actually meant to say, which was "pancit" (one of the most popular noodle dishes of the Philippines). #getyouamanwholooksatyoulikethis
Thanksgiving was full of all the Filipino foods like palabok, pancit, kare kare, menudo, embutido, and we even had a lechon! Brucie couldn't wait to contribute to the potluck and made his famous "armadillo eggs," which are jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in sausage. His dish was so popular, it was the first to run out at the party!
Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes! I’m having a great time getting spoiled by my entire family and friends. Still celebrating my birthday the whole month of January😂
I’m so proud of how far I have come and what I have accomplished last year! I’m excited for what’s yet to come this year, & everyday I’m working hard to be a lot more humble, patient, loving, more wise, & be more full of life.
Again, thank you all for the message. Feeling very blessed to have such amazing people in my life! My heart is full. Arigato💋 #birthdaygirl#january#januarybabies#japan#philippines#hawaii#japanese#filipino
#repost from #kollabsf7 finalist @rudykalma (only the first of several releases we're looking forward to this year) ------------------ Today’s the day. My project, Labor of Love is officially out and available on all streaming platforms! I started to conceptualize the themes for my album last winter, and I am happy to see it all come together. I’d like to thank all my homies and loved ones for helping me push this out. Around this time last year, I was unemployed and struggling to create. The phrase, “labor of love,” revealed itself to me as I was searching for answers amongst my influences. They all went through this realm of uncertainty and doubt, but they managed to achieve the focus to create and the willpower to submit to the Universe’s timing.
The message I leave is this:
Believe in yourself // Lean onto loved ones during conflict // Share space // Self-Reflect // Laugh // Cry // Have Faith // and Enjoy Your Beautiful Struggle
Maganda magkaroon ng sasakyan. Pero piliin mo lang at unahin ang mga bagay na importante at mahalaga sau lalong lalo na sa pamilya mo.
