I constantly remind myself to trust the process, keep working hard when I can’t seem to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and keep believing that what I’m doing and where I’m headed is important.
So here’s to you. If you’re feeling inadequate, faced with a challenge, or straight up giving up- believe in yourself for a minute. You’re capable. You’re strong, brave, determined. You’re lionhearted strong.

With 9 inches (😱) of snow right outside our front door I am torn between cozying up and embracing old man winter and longing to return to a gorgeous and uncharacteristically hot fall day not too long ago❄️🍂
As you may, or may not know, Michigan falls tend to be crisp but this past fall was one for the books and was truly an Indian summer to remember☀️🙌🏼
How this was only 7 weeks ago, is mind boggling, yet beautiful, to think about the drastic changes the different seasons bring in a short amount of time⏰
Same goes for baby bump! From 30 weeks to 36.5 weeks how much larger our peanut and this bump have grown is so beautiful to have witnessed these past 8 months. I have loved being pregnant, but my patience is running low to meet our prince/princess💙💜
But, just as with changing seasons, each one beautiful in its own way, I remind myself that this belly won't be here forever and how much I will miss feeling baby's movements, kicks, and hiccups👣
And in just a few short weeks Tim and I will enter a new season. One we will welcome with open arms, while still looking back longingly and lovingly to this season of pregnancy filled with preparation, reflection, appreciation, and more love than I could have ever expected💏
We are ready whenever you are baby!!

I just want to take a minute to A.) show off my booty gains. duh. 🤷🏼♀️ B.) let you know that just because someone transforms their body in some way does not mean that they disliked their body before. Keep reading.
Here’s an example that more people can relate to: just because you go to school to receive an education does not mean that you disliked yourself before. It means you believe in yourself enough to go after something that you perceive to be of value.
I value my strength. Powerlifting is something I’ve been working extremely hard at over the last few years. I didn’t dislike myself before I started powerlifting- I didn’t start lifting because I didn’t like my body. I didn’t dislike the photo on the left (I obviously thought I looked good or I wouldn’t have taken the photo).
READ: Just because a transformation happens to somebody’s body does not mean that change initiation stemmed from an insecurity or dislike of their body.
Obviously I like the photo on the right more- because it represents 150+ pounds added onto my squat PR and 200+ pounds added onto my deadlift PR. My “gains” represent countless hours in the gym. Working for something that is valuable to me.

Stop stressing so hard about the decisions that aren’t that serious. What to do with your free time next weekend, who to invite, what to wear, what you’re gonna eat. What you’re gonna say. What outfit to buy. How to do your nails. What your gonna buy so and so for Christmas. It’s not that serious. I remember a time when these things would cause so much distraction in my brain. If you’re in this spot, try to see the bigger picture. Try to remember the last time you stressed about such things. I bet it all turned out fine and you forgot about such decisions. What kind of study habits do you employ? Do you have a routine? I’m always curious to hear about people’s study habits. I prefer to sit at home at the kitchen counter. I have been here for the past three days besides making food and going to the gym 😂 I like to be in the comfort of my home, but outside of my bedroom, where all the food is, and only five feet from the bathroom (I hate leaving all my stuff unattended in the library to use the bathroom 🤷🏼♀️) Also, home is where my roomies are (occasionally) ❤️
Lastly. I drink water, coffee, milk, pop, and energy drinks like it’s my job 💁🏼♀️
What do you do???
Worrying does not take away tomorrow’s troubles. It takes away today’s peace.
I remind myself of this often. I’m prepared for tomorrow. I’m doing everything I can do TODAY. And so there is no need to concern myself with what will happen tomorrow.
This is a mindset I am continuously working to grow into. Nobody can come into my brain and ease all my worries. There’s not enough kind, encouraging words that will rid me, or you, of worries or anxieties unless you want that for yourself.
