As I make my way through all of the North Carolina state parks — I always make it a “thing” to stop by the park office and grab a map. I guess it’s my way of remembering and taking back a keepsake. Maybe I’ll do something cool with them. We have visited 18 out of 42 parks, and it’s actually hard to visit them all in one year. We tried, however, and definitely still aiming towards seeing them all anyway — because we must explore North Carolina in its entirety.
After spending several days in the deep freeze, especially in East Tennessee (though I never mind visiting my beloved Gatlinburg, regardless of the season), my mind is still wandering to warmer days and seaside retreats - and it should be noted that the azaleas along the coast should be blooming only a month and a half from how. One of my favorite seaside retreats is of course Charleston, where I caught this lovely light show at the Ravenel Bridge on an impromptu trip a couple years ago - and those unscripted, impromptu trips are always the best.....big shoutout to @tnc_nc for a feature! Be sure to show them some love!
