Not gonna lie we are pretty terrible at hiking in the winter (I’m pretty terrible at hiking any season anyway). Drove 30 mins up a terrifying steep mountain (no idea which one) for as far as we could, then trudged/slipped through snow for a quarter mile before saying fuck it. Never even made it to the trail head 🤷♀️ But then we ate burgers and all was well.
Chocolate banana cream pie + a raspberry garnish. Sounds like a winter treat worth craving. Come to Kent and enjoy a tasty bite at Macrina Bakery—just one of many places in Kent to snatch something sweet. Photo: @macrinabakery#visitkentwa#pnwbakery
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest has shaped who I am. Having this much beauty around me all the time makes me feel connected to nature and inspires me to do what I can to protect it. I have been camping/backpacking since I was a child and have always enjoyed the pure magic and joy it brings. Yet as it has become more popular, I’ve noticed trash left behind and people being careless and disrespectful to our home. This summer I even saw someone leave behind a chair! A whole chair! When exploring the pnw please remember to leave no trace. Pack out EVERYTHING that you packed in! Yes, this includes toilet paper, empty bottles of wine, and even chemicals you may be leaving behind in our rivers and lakes. When you wash your hands, body, and/or dishes while backpacking, the chemicals in the soap can pollute our waters and poison our wildlife. Our all-natural 1oz. soaps are a perfect size for backpacking and won’t cause harm to plants and animals!! Please be respectful and help keep this place magical so we can enjoy it for years to come! bushytailedbotanics.com 🗻🌲
"Don't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make more art” - Andy Warhol
I can find a number of things wrong about every photo I post; this picture is no exception. I know other photographers and artists can relate. But the fear of criticism, mostly from your inner critic, shouldn't stop you from creating, from trying, from doing and sharing what you love. Get out there and push yourself, try a new perspective, and most importantly - have fun. #art🎨
