First and final smoothie bowl of the week!! 🙈👅 Upcoming travel means I don't have access to all the normal fixings and my pretty SB accessories 💁🏼♀️... what it doesn't mean is that I have an excuse to let my nutrition to go 💩 Don't get me wrong, there will be plenty of indulging but choc superfood packets offset airport cocktails right? 🥂
24 hours until ✈️❄️🏂 — any guesses as to where we're going? ***Cannot participate if I already told you 😜👇🏼
Today was booty day!! 10 reps for 3 sets today so I upped the weights and the bands!! Getting stronger and being able to use heavier weights has been a goal of mine for awhile so I'm very happy to be able to move in the right direction!
I will admit that I wasn't following the food plan properly this weekend but only had one day where I ate something not on the plan. I just was BUSY spending time with the kids and didn't eat as much as I was supposed to. But this week I'm back at it!! Look out..... I'm gonna CRUSH this week!! #80dayobsession#ivegotgoals#nevergiveup#itsalifestyle#bootyday#instructor#eatcleantrainmean#fitwife#fitmom#fitnurse
There isn’t much control to be had when it comes to events that arise in your life. Nor do you have the jurisdiction for the sorrows that interrupt your life. More often than not, they’ll catch you off your toes, they’ll surprise you, they’ll want to defeat you as you are caught unprepared and off guard. Often, you may find yourself heaved over your knees, face in your palms, and all knowingly lament at your weak condition. What are you to do? Where are you to go? Where and why is it that you should even begin, again?
A commonality for all is suffering. To suffer is to experience a human condition. It’s inevitable, and it strikes us all at some point or another. It’s one thing to suffer, but it’s a whole other to suffer and still remain composed, still faithful, confident, smiling, and willing to take one more step right after the other. That, is remarkable.
It is said that, “Pain will change you more profoundly than success or good fortune. Suffering shapes your perception of life, your values and priorities, and your goals and dreams.” Pain changes you. But YOU… are a survivor. This time will too, pass. You must go through hell to find heaven, darkness to find light, and in order to you to find yourself sometimes, you must break in order to let the light in. Life isn’t linear, it scrambly and squiggly. Sometimes, it’s downright messy. You WILL be whole again. Do remember this though, while you’re trying to find yourself, trying to find meaning, trying and searching for your purpose and higher perspective…
“We are all just a car crash, a diagnosis, an unexpected phone call, a newfound love, or a broken heart away from becoming a completely different person. How beautifully fragile are we that so many things can take but a moment to alter who we are forever?”
Breakfast for lunch because it’s probably the easiest thing to make 👌🏻 I never want to waste a ton of time cooking whenever I go visit Eli so eggs are always my go to 💯 Quick, easy, and you can pair them with any veggies you’ve got on hand 🙆🏼 Eating healthy and in a way that makes my body feel good is always a priority to me but so is hanging out with people I love 💕 So this is the best way I’ve found to do both 🤗 I always drag Eli to Aldi (he secretly likes it even though he acts like it’s a pain 😉) and stock up on staples to eat over the weekend 💯 We normally eat one meal out because #treatyourself and then eat the rest in! And I love him to death but his fridge isn’t exactly stocked with my favorite foods 😅 So I go and get a few things, eat most of it, and then bring the rest back in a lunch box with ice packs to eat later on in the week 🙆🏼 Simple and no big fuss but keeps us both sane and happy ☺️ I’m off to get my regular grocery shopping done for the week and hopefully some meal prep 👊🏻 The weekends always go so fast but getting myself prepared to crush this week of tests ahead 💃🏼 Hope you all had a wonderful weekend spent doing things you love! ❤️ ——————————————————— #lunch details 👉🏻 2 eggs fried in ghee topped with red pepper flakes, roasted sweet potato fries (400F for 20 mins on each side) + 1/2 avocado + tomatoes + sautéed mushrooms 💕
HAPPY FRIDAY!! cozying up on this rainy day with this warm bowl before heading out for class & an easy 5miles🤗 •

Spin followed by CHOCOLATEY french toast, ILY Saturday💕
French toast was always my fav breakfast as a kid. Loaded it with syrup and powdered sugar. (Anyone with me?!🙋🏼♀️) I’ve switched it up a bit and subbed powdered sugar for something even more delectable... .
Chocolate 🍫 If you haven’t noticed by now #chocolateforbreakfast is my jam🙌🏻 @squareorganics and @buffbake make it way too easy and delicious. And obvi the perfect #postworkout fuel! .
Happy Saturday babes! .

💥Side Effects Of Not Getting Sleep!💥⠀
In today’s world where stress levels are always rising and everyone is always on the go, sleep is often forgotten! Sleep however is still Vidal to our health⠀
Ideally 6-8 hours is what you should at least shoot for to let the body rest, but I do know how hard it can be. However, over time this problems can build up⠀

🥩 What is PALEO?! 🥩⠀
👉🏼 Paleo is a “diet” that focuses on eating real, whole, unprocessed foods that mirror what our hunter-gatherer ancestors would have ate⠀
❌ This means that the following foods are NOT paleo approved:⠀
▪️ Cereal grains and legumes⠀
▪️ Hydrogenated oils and vegetable oils⠀
▪️ Dairy products (other than butter) and refined sugars⠀
▪️ Processed and packaged foods⠀
▪️ Fruit juices and soft drinks⠀
✅ This also means that the following foods ARE paleo approved:⠀
▪️ Fruits and veggies⠀
▪️ (Ideally) Grass-fed and pasture-raised animal proteins like steak, pork, chicken, etc.⠀
▪️ Fish and seafood⠀
▪️ Eggs, nuts and seeds⠀
▪️ Butter and some oils⠀
📊 The other thing to keep in mind is that paleo diets are often high in dietary fat, moderate in protein and low or moderate in carbs. This is based on the structure of what “fits” and what doesn’t “fit” into the food requirements⠀
👉🏼 Lastly, keep in mind that it’s important to understand that while following a paleo diet in the traditional sense does not require you to count calories or track macros, energy balance (calories in versus calories out) still does matter.⠀
📉 The bottom line? Paleo is not a magical diet that works for 100% of people. It might work for you. It might not work for you. But please understand this… paleo — or any diet — works if you work… BUT ONLY IF YOU WORK! 🤪 Got it?⠀
🙏🏼 Awesome! Thanks for reading!⠀
