You are invited to... SUSTAINABILITY MEETUP: EARTHSHIPS
January 23 @seattlemakershq 7-9 pm
RSVP and more info: link in bio
Ever wondered how to #gogreen on a small scale? On a large scale? Where does one even start? Introducing a new #meetup series that talks about #sustainability and #goinggreen! Our first meetup will partner with @EarthshipSeattle to watch an #earthship#documentary that introduces a new #sustainable and #selfsustaining#housing solution. .
After the documentary, Jamie (the organizer for @EarthshipSeattle) will be available to talk about the project to build an Earthship here in #KingCounty! Alongside the documentary there will be bug snacks provided! Our member, @Etherthefireninja, (also the host of the #sustainability series) cooks with the ultimate sustainable protein: bugs!
Next in the series will be “Insects as a Sustainable Protein,” but the rest of the series is open to ideas! Please tell the host if you are allergic to dust mites or shellfish before consuming any of the bug snacks as there is a chance you will be allergic.
What to bring: Ideas on topics about sustainability you would like to see in future meetups, ideas on something to make (It is hosted at a #makerspace after all), and an open mind.
Important to know: Please tell the host if you are allergic to dust mites or shellfish before consuming any of the bug snacks as there is a chance you will be allergic.
January 23 at Seattle Makers 7-9pm. RSVP via link in bio.
AFTER WATCHING NETFLIX FOR THE PAST FEW DAYS, I CAME ACROSS THIS GEM!
I RECOMMEND THAT EVERYONE CHECK IT OUT.
IT TALKS ABOUT THE HEALTH IN HIP HOP, SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT AND HOW TO BE AWARE, GET HEALTHY, AND STAY HEALTHY.
August 30, 2011 - A young Tibetan woman carries a bag of dried yak dung back to the nomadic settlement. It will be a cold, windy, and wet evening and it's a race to finish work and chores before the intense storms that move across the Tibetan plateau hit along the north shore of Namucuo (Lake Namu). Thank you to everyone who watched the documentary on Chanel 5 about Georgia Rankin, I was also involved in this as her best friend and we have had some lovely memories, as people know I have been a major part of Georgias life in the last 4 years, we both go through chronic pain in different ways and this is why we understand each other how we do and enjoy our times together! We are so happy with how the documentary turned out😄 very proud, I love you G!! 💕💜 #documentary#channel5#extraordinarypeople#friends#love#lfl
Santa Ynez Valley//Home on the range. One of my favorite features of the #santaynezvalley landscape are the iconic valley oak trees. Here, a lone oak stands in the foreground of a vast cattle ranch. Simple western pleasures.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIN

Do you wanna know what sets my soul on fire? .
“Following the birth of my second child I was able to be photographed by Lacey with my two children. I had not had an easy pregnancy, in fact they were some of the darkest days of my life. I cursed my body everyday for making me so ill I could barely stand some days, and my mind could not withstand the stress and sorrow I felt. I was so worried I would not feel love and connection to my baby as I did not feel that way throughout my pregnancy. But upon seeing my images that Lacey created I finally saw how powerful my body is to endure what it did and create two beautiful children. I fell in love with my body for it had given me the greatest gifts. I could see the love and adoration I feel for my children. I felt uplifted and renewed, with her art she had given me this magnificent gift of truly seeing myself as a mother.”
I love you woman. You are a powerhouse and lusciously gorgeous 😏😘 Image of the spectacular @emma_jean_photography .
