What a find! Just 6 sites at the campsite at Leroo-La-Tau, spread out along the Boteti River in Botswana, now dry except for a few pools. Separated only by a few trees, bushes and a track from our camping place, migrating zebra had started to arrive here in great numbers. By the middle of the afternoon, we could hear them barking in the distance and then collect on the opposite ridge before pouring down the bank in a cloud of dust, kicking, fighting and squealing to get to the water. Such an amazing sight! #africanmemories#thisisafrica#wildlifephotography#africaoverland#livingourdreams#overlanders#discoverafrica#landroverlife
ENGLISH I started off the last day of 2017 at Jeffrey's Bay. This is one of th3 most famous beaches of South Africa and Garden Route. The height of the waves makes it very suitable for surfing. You can rent the wet suit and surf board for 2 hours for 250 R. Check out the stories for the details of the day and the firework show in Port Elizabeth as we welcomed 2018.
Odds for success are impossibly stacked against the young men of Kenya. Many come from broken homes where one or both parents are gone, leaving the boys in the care of the closest living relative. Lack of direction, hope, and a positive male role model drives many to live the only way they know how: join a gang, steal, and sell drugs. But, that should not be the only option. We know these boys have unlimited potential, and we are standing in the societal gap to equip them with mentoring and extra curricular activities that connect these boys to responsible male role models that they can trust and look up to. Check out some of our boys at Camp For The Boys 2017. These are real faces of boys who are showing up for mentoring meetings and camp, seeking a positive change. Let’s celebrate them and continue to support their hopes and dreams. Learn more at www.itsfortheboys.org. #ForTheBoys#Mentorship

I had a great experience with @gadventures a few years back. My tour guides, John and Patrick, were amazing. .
Does anyone know if they still work for #gadventures? .
What do you think of travel tours? 🌍.
I usually don't like taking a tour. I like hiring a tour guide for a day or two, but I feel that I lose some freedom on a long tour (this one was a 30-day tour). .
However, nothing is black or white: tours can be great for the right type of traveler and for the right kind of situation. If you want to see the country side of Africa, you have to be on a tour. Unless you hire a private tour guide, a driver and **sometimes, security staff**, it will be extremely challenging to travel through Africa on your own. Also, it is way more expensive $$$ than people would assume. .
Again, depending on your budget, how much time you have or if you are a #solotraveler, you can find the right type of tours that will suit your needs. #gonomatterwhat
When I travel it’s to learn not only how different we are as humans, but how similar we are as well.
For all the differences, there are more similarities despite the languages we speak, the houses we live in and the clothes we wear.
For me, travelling in Africa brings this to light more than any other continent I’ve visited.
And of all the countries, Ethiopia has opened my eyes to so much.
Maybe that’s why it’s opened my heart too.
