I enjoy the little details.
Finally got stainless hardware to install these little outlet covers. These were an afterthought, but I like the way they finish off the TV wall on this project.
The electricians are still waiting for the raw petroleum to be extracted from the ground so black cover plates can be manufactured. I believe NASA should be done with the spec’s for that soon.
Here’s the big reveal of the grass terrace steps I built this week with 6x6 pressure treated Douglas Fir landscape timbers and dirt. (👈🏼 Swipe left for dramatic before & after pics.) Previously the deck was awkwardly raised 4ft above the grade of the backyard, with an ugly railing, broken steps and severely Qtip-pruned yews. 🤢 Now I can breathe. The neighbors thought I was building vegetable garden beds but then the sod went in and boom, surprise, not for tomatoes! 🍅 Next year I’ll replace the deck boards with Shou Sugi Ban Cedar. 🔥
A general contractor is only as good as the trade partners he/she hires. It’s rare to find quality subcontractors that care about quality and the end result and vision. We are more than fortunate here at A Finer Touch Construction to be surrounded by some amazing talent here in Phoenix. They make all of the little details look this good!
