🎶 Some mornings I wake up and have been writing music in my sleep. Other days I wake up have been teaching in my dreams. The teaching is always better, and the music pretty basic - but I know I need the music more. #staycurious
#Mypractice these days includes blocks on the second level to help protect my hands & wrists. A little higher to hop, of course, but my hands get to enjoy doing what hands do - gripping, instead of flattening out like a pancake. 👋 The legwarmers protect my knees when I kneel, & provide a nice bit of space for deep bends. 🙌🏼 Thanks to @phillipaskew for the tip - about the blocks, I mean, not the legwarmers, tho you could probably rock those out too! #phillipmademedoit

Finally feeling like myself again. Finally back on my mat for my favorite sweat session 🤸🏻♀️🙏🏻 .
It’s so hard to say no to the mat sometimes, especially when I’ve signed up for a challenge! I feel the pressures of keeping up with the social media community but know that my body needs to rest. These last few days in hiatus remind me to prioritize my health and wellness above everything else. I am grateful for the muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments, and skin that hold me together and allow me to practice what I love. If I don’t spend time listening to it and nurturing its needs, then I’m only doing myself a disservice. And it wouldn’t be very “Yoga” either!
Just a reminder to myself and all the yogis in the Instagram community who are trying to grow their practice and presence simultaneously to remember to put the self before everything else.
Mind. Body. Spirit. OM 🙏🏻 .

Honestly, it’s difficult for me sometimes to allow for mystery in the teaching. Life has so much uncertainty as it is - we’re comforted when the story we’re being told is tied up in a neat little 🎁.
But - it’s not. Life is not so precise - and for that matter, neither is the practice. 🔮This week in training, we’ve been exploring the #negativespace - the pause, the invitation for the student’s interpretation, the poses that are not one-size-fits-all, and the silence. Mysteries and #paradox are the most intriguing, inspiring and ultimately truthful parts of our lives.

Day 8: I'd be lying if I said this was from this morning. Sadly, i won't have enough time for my flow this morning. This was a few days ago. It's my old beam routine with some random poses thrown in because I forgot most of it. Also, this was later in the day and there's an obvious increase in my flexibility as the day goes on! Yesterday before I went to bed I I was feeling how thirsty our forest was and set an intention to raindance today at noon. Raindancing for me is like praying for something while knowing I've already received it, so it becomes more of a celebration. With honesty, I can state that every time I've done it, rain has followed.. if not immediately, than shortly after. This morning when I woke, it was raining. I jokingly thought to myself wow, I'm becoming pretty efficient at this 😄 So, it's been raining all day and making for perfect cozy feels, which makes for perfect cozy yoga. I'm a day late, but that's ok because there's lots of cozy to make up for it. Would anyone like to join me? @suffocatinglove0@aparigraha2017 🤗
