I never saw myself as an “adventurous” person. “I’m not strong enough,” I thought. I’d have too much anxiety. It would be hard. I might fail. It’s safer to not try, then I won’t look dumb. Then something changed. I had a successful natural birth and it ignited a spark in me, a whisper at first, now boisterous and loud, a voice. A voice that says, “I CAN do that!” I don’t have to be full of muscle or practice in a secret place where no one sees. I can fail and that is okay! In fact it’s good, it helps me learn. I was only half alive before the spark came. I didn’t fail, but I also didn’t know what success I could have! Today, I’m grateful for the spark. For the adventures it has helped me take, and the people I’ve been able to meet. @littlemountaineers@alyssayoung88
come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. || y’all this week kicked my ass. tested my heart. and beat me down in a serious way. and I’m so so very grateful for these souls that brought me right back to life these last couple days and reminded me of my greater purpose on this earth. || 🙏🏼🖤⚡️
"True desire is full… and insatiable. She is appreciate and ceaseless. She is present and she sees possibility everywhere. This is the divine paradox of intentional creating: you will love what you’ve got with all your heart today, and you will be ready for more tomorrow. And the next day.” ✖ AKA go out and get what sets your soul on FIRE. And then once you get it, go out and do it again. 💕 That's the adventure, That's the journey, That's CREATING.
Rare video of me lead climbing. Jumped on my first 6b+/5.11a and got it onsight/flash (saw a video of @magmidt's brother doing it and thought it looked right up my alley). First time on the big boy wall too.
Time for the 6c+/5.11c roof extension next time!
Video kudos: @bjornbamsefrohlich
Edit: As always please critique anything you see that I can improve
Sharing a moment with my climbing partner @jshteo at Nam Pha Pa Yai camp in between climbs.
It's not easy to find a good climbing buddy; one who climbs at a similar level with similar motivations, who believes in you and who has the patience of a saint on belay duty. For sure, a good climber doesn't always equate to a good partner...so I'm glad @jshteo is both!
Looking forward to sending more scare-the-shit-out-us routes with this dude in the future. 😎
