Still learning. We have been playing with making a few climbing holds for the gym, and I have been trying my hand at hold shaping. I generally have very little patience when I am not immediately good at things, but I know it will keep improving with trial and error. I am pretty happy with this little guy, but I would love to hear any feedback if anyone wants to exchange some info or throw critiques my way. #holdshaping#learning#climbingholds#womenthatclimb#obsession

Setting is such an interesting mental game applied to the physical form. It's completely fun, yet logical.
The actual physical qualifications to set can range from a list that would be unrealistic to ask of almost any employee, to being as easy as operating a bucket lift and an impact drill. The mental aspects can range from climbing the hardest boulders in the world to just knowing all the ways you can hold then move a person.
For me, lately, each setting session is slightly better than the last. I wish my actual climbing would script similarly, haha. I am putting up more routes, faster, and they require less tweaking. My setting systems are getting more efficient. The climbs are more fun and have more flow. Need to get my boulders more on par next!
