A whirlwind long weekend of ice and snow and friends that was much needed. Grateful for this rad planet and the friends that unknowingly, and knowingly, helped me take my mind off shit. Also sticking yourself to icy walls is really quite therapeutic. #coloRADo#iceclimbing

Two years in this beautiful state. Had I known how much this move would change me, I would’ve never had any hesitation. I am a better person spiritually, mentally and physically. The outdoors have grounded me, calmed me, healed me and encouraged me. Forever grateful that I get to call you home.
This weekend’s trip to Brasstown Bald! The tallest point in Georgia and clear morning skies make for spectacular views! #adventureawaits#atlantatrails

It’s been an insane last few days in Oregon with @luke.konarzewski. Met a ton of great new people and visited a lot of places I haven’t seen in years. Headed back home now, but more stoked than ever for future adventures
When someone says to you, “this trip will change your life” ...you go. This week I take off for a trip that I’ve been looking forward to for a long time. Last summer when I got involved with @LifeStraw, they asked me if I would join them in Kenya this year as part of their Follow The Liters program, and their ‘Campaign To Reach 1 Million.’ On Friday, I board a plane and begin this trip that, while we are there @LifeStraw will fulfill their goal of providing safe drinking water to their 1 millionth child. I have been using my personal water filter from LifeStraw before I began working with them, and when I attended my first Outdoor Retailer show, they were the first booth I visited. Why? Because they are a company that is truly impassioned and committed to doing good, a company who believes in and stands by their mantra, “doing good is good business.” Starting Friday you can follow along via my feed and IG stories to watch in real time while we install these large format water filters into 20 new schools throughout Kenya. I can promise you, just like they have promised me… this is going to be a trip and opportunity of a lifetime, and I cannot wait to share it with all of you. To learn more about LifeStraw and to track the progress of the Follow The Liters Program visit the ‘Doing Good’ link in my bio.

I've been working on pushing myself (it'd be easier if I was lighter) because I can't be complacent. Ive been trying to shoot different things, like rivers. I've also been trying to film more and just posted a video (link in bio) but I still have so many areas I need to push myself in. Oh well, work hard play hard.

Another little desert adventure in the books. 🌵❤️
You see, I start craving the desert in January. This happens every single year. Don’t get me wrong, I love winter and the snow, but only for so long. There is a piece of me that craves all the little wonders of the desert. The warmth, the escape from reality, the endless trails, and the beautiful landscapes all make my heart so happy.
It just amazes me how this ☝🏻 & how all the other amazing formations have come to be. I start imagining dinosaurs & what this place used to look like a longgg time ago. My mind goes wild. It’s just SO cool! 🤓
Every trip is different, it brings different stories, people, and places. There is always excitement in the unknown of what’s to come. Till next time ✌🏻
One year ago today I saw this stranger walking out of the woods. Who knew then she would climb mountains with us, literally! Can’t believe it has only been a year since I’ve met this beautiful soul. Guess this is my PSA to say TALK TO STRANGERS! You never know maybe they’ll be an amazing friend. Happy friendsaversary @kdswick ...also she created that beer label how freakin impressive is she!
🔸”I’m Karina, I teach ice skating and much of my childhood was spent travelling and camping. I choose mountains because they remind me that even though it seems like every inch of the earth has been discovered and explored, much of the world is still wild and unseen. I have hiked to this particular spot many times, and every time I’m up there I’m faced with a different perspective.
There’s so much freedom in exploring these peaks and I can’t even begin to express how much nature brings people together so every chance I get, you can find me out here."
