This is Sophie. She is our sweet-as-can-be rescue pup. Eric and I adopted her back in April and though she’s a handful we love her to pieces 😍 This was one of the first pictures I ever took of her with my camera, and I love it. This was just a few days after we adopted her, and it reminds me of the first few weeks we had her which were NOT easy. Those were the days 😅 she’s three years old but we had to re-potty train her since we lived in an apartment at the time. She wasn’t leash trained. She was very timid and shy. She didn’t want to walk up or down the stairs. She didn’t open up for about a month after we adopted her. She taught us patience and understanding early on in our marriage.
Now she is the spunkiest little thing full of life and energy. She still is timid around strangers but she warms up fast to them. She misses going on walks but her trade from Virginia to Illinois is that she has a big backyard to run around in. She enjoys barking at deer out in the field behind our house. She loves playing with all of the toys she has, including the cat toys 😂 She has stolen our hearts and I’ll forever be thankful we made the (impulse😬) decision to adopt her that day.
I posted on my story yesterday asking if you all would like me to post more personal posts on my feed, so here’s one of our oldest fur baby ♥️ #sophietheborgi
