Randomly, a couple weeks ago, I was informed that I was #promoted to the crime lab 🔬. It feels great to celebrate that, but mostly I’m just blessed to celebrate LIFE right here at this #waterfall. #BlueHole ⭐️🇯🇲
🇪🇬 I never associated Egypt with great snorkeling, but I definitely should have! 🐠🐡🐟 Swimming around the beautiful coral reefs in the Red Sea (near the dive spot of "The Blue Hole" in Dahab) was surreal, 🏊♀️ and one of my favorite days of our time in the Sinai Peninsula! #thisisegypt
What's the best place you've ever snorkeled or gone diving? 👇

“On the coast of the Sinai desert is a small village called Dahab, where the famous Blue Hole is located in the Red Sea. An international community of free divers plunges into the deep, diving on one breath up to depths of 93 meters,” writes #YourShotPhotographer Wendy Timmermans. “Several times a year I co-organize competitions in this amazing place. This picture shows athlete Heike Schwerdtner on the final part of her ascent accompanied by safety free drivers and judges, and with spectators awaiting on the surface.”
“I agree with Your Shot photographer Janet Ellison, who commented, "This is incredible! So beautiful, wonderful lighting, great framing. I feel like I'm right there with them in the water!" This is so magical Wendy. I love the lyricism in this moment you captured, with everybody focused on the one free driver ascending from the depths of darkness. Well done.” — @natgeoyourshot Producer David Y. Lee (@davidylee)
Follow me down to the blue hole!
Video from last weekends dive which was a 30 seconds hang at 53 meters.
I was stunned when I saw the video afterwards, and that I was freefalling so close to the reef! 😊 part 2
