Finally started a Dime Novel @fieldnotesbrand notebook! I love the move towards bigger sizes and the numbered pages are a big plus in my opinion. The Signature series has just been released and I'm definitely looking forward to getting my hands on em at some point in the future!
• So often we are #tooclose to our pain to see beyond it or a #biggerpicture . But remember, every book has a difficult chapter or more like several difficult chapters. These are not “bad chapters” (although they can be very painful) these are the “becoming chapters”. ________________________ •
These are only seen as bad chapters when we focus on what it’s causing in our external reality. But becoming is all about our internal reality.
When we understand this we can embrace the challenges because of what they will produce IN us. (We do not however have to pretend to enjoy the surface level discomfort). The pain is real. It is hard. But it can, if we let it...be transformative.
These difficult chapters prepare us and shape us for what the rest of the book has in store.
I think much of my frustration and depression stemmed from not being at the #climax of my story. I wanted to skip these chapters. But, I would also not be ready for the next chapter if I had jumped ahead.
So, if like me, today you find yourself in the #becoming chapter(s) I want to encourage you and let you know that:
I believe in your story.
I see you struggling through a tough chapter.
You are becoming something beautiful.
You will get through this chapter and have the opportunity to write a book with your life that could change the course of history. #blankpages#hope#chapter

“Everybody has a chapter they don’t read out loud.”— Unknown
But we share our stories in so many ways. We write them, we draw them, we hurt others, we love others. Either way our story’s want to be told. So I tell you my story every time I make art. I learn who I am each time you react.
I learned how to book bind when in grade 5- a school trip to @harbourfrontcentre and I’ve kept making books as a way to teach other and as an outlet for my stories.
This notebook holds dotted, lines and blank pages for all my wants and needs.
We just had to share this great advertisement for a Philadelphia firm that did it all: book selling, stationery sales, book binding, and paper ruling. That curious machine at the top is a paper ruler -- it could quickly add straight lines to sheets of paper that were then bound up into blank ledgers or copy books. Neat, right? #bookhistory#blankpages#iglibraires#booknerd#papernerd
