My goal as a breeder is to bring this amazing breed out in the open. Educate the public on one of the oldest dog breeds in the World! The Xoloitzcuintili is currently making its way to our social media world and even on the big screen, Coco. What many folks don’t know is the the Xoloitzcuintili comes Hairless and Coated. For the people that love the breed will love both because we fall in love with the temperament of the Xolo and it’s Awesome History. A Coated Xolo is actually pretty simple to groom because they hardly shed hair and they don’t smell! Which brings me to this. If ya want a Xolo cause they look cool and have no hair, maybe it isn’t the dog for you? We have to remember that animals aren’t accessories, they are our companions for life. I can assure you that this breed is by far the most loving and loyal I’ve ever come across. And if you know me and my upbringing, I’ve had a fair share of dog experiences and breeds lol crazy dog family 🙋🏻♀️ so let’s not forget the awesome Coated Xolo’s, cause they too are Radical! **this is not my photo, it’s obviously borrowed from National Geo which I do not work for cause I’m just a stay at home mom who loves her kids and loves her Xolo’s. #xoloitzcuintli#coatedxoloitzcuintle#mexicanhairlessdog#dogofmexico#perosaztecas#bestbreedever
A whole lot of you guys often ask me why there’s never fur on my floors and I laugh out loud every time. There is ALWAYS dog hair on my floors! I have to vacuum every day and still...so much hair. This is what my floors look like after ONE day. But still wouldn’t trade it for the world.😍 #doghairdontcare#bestbreedever
It was #nationaldogday yesterday? Oops. My bad. 🙈 This is our gentle giant, Watson. He's a 7-year-old #rhodesianridgeback and he's 15 pounds bigger than his breed standard.
Things he loves: us (duh), a good game of hide-and-seek (I'm always the hider and he's the seeker), running 7 miles with his dad, bacon. .
He's seriously the sweetest, most patient, gentle pup I know. They say Ridgebacks are fierce and fearless protectors and tend to be aloof with strangers, but I have yet to see anyone this guy hasn't loved on immediately. I just can't picture anything but his massive body almost folding in half because he's wagging his tail so hard when he greets you. .
It's not uncommon for random people to stop us on the street just so they can look at him, comment about how large he is, and take pictures of (sometimes selfies with) him. I thought it was weird at first but we get it. He IS quite a handsome guy. .
He didn't really care to be in this picture so I had to get him in a headlock to take it. Happy (belated) National Dog day everyone! 🐶
