Had a great time at the @burgeonbeer 1st Anniversary Party this past Saturday. They had six different food and beer pairings, and each perfectly complimented one another (thanks to a lil help from Dr. Bill). Pictured here was their Pale Ale paired with a fried shrimp skewer with a rich creamy sauce. Beyond the pairings Burgeon also had an array of new beer offerings that most certainly did not disappoint. Puregeon NEIPA was my stand out favorite and as you can guess from the name it was a collaboration they did with @purebrewing. Also the Dutchman’s pipe on cask with raspberries is un-Believable! It’s literally like drinking a chocolate covered raspberry, and it wasn’t overly sweet IMO. Overall great event, and we are excited for another year of Burgeon Beer! 🍻

Going to brew a kettled sour with the Riley, the head brewer of @edgebrewing ,arguably the top brewery in Barcelona, tomorrow 🤘🏻🍻
Make sure to go over to my website to check that blog post out as well as the one I just released about my first two days being on a different continent 🌍🇪🇸

It’s not easy to overshadow a work of art like @strathconabeer’s Get Down On It IPA, but this four-pack of perfection fell victim to the Manwolf Mantra, recorded forever in neon.
No matter, the beer was too damn good to stay outta the limelight for long. This juicy beauty is amazing and perhaps not long for this world, so go get some cans while you still can!
Guess who gets to go brew a kettled sour with the head brewer of one of the biggest, if not the biggest, breweries in Barcelona tomorrow at @edgebrewing ?🍻🇪🇸
This freakin guy right here does! Go check out the adventures at @abrewersstory
And check out the blog posts that will be associated with that and all of the other brewing adventures as well 🤘🏻🌍

If looks could kill I wouldn't need this knife
Merc Machine is a double IPA from Stone. And like all double IPAs from Stone, it is both great tasting, fun to do photos with, and has the best writing on the back of the label. Whoever writes these labels is my favorite person.
I felt like I hopped right out of a video game in this outfit and I loved it.
Just missing some fingerless gloves and my trusty SMG. Plus the well placed rips and patches you get from a lifestyle of killing.
Actually, I don't play much shooters. Fallout and Mass effect would be my only two close to a fps. I'm an rpg gal, and have a soft spot for maces that absorb souls 🤷🏻♀️
In a last ditch attempt, the Mikkells have taken to performing growth spells on their hops while also being nude on their bottom half. The spells do not require them to be half naked, they're just a bit kinky.
Possibly the cleanest of the five with sharp orange, grassy pine and apricot. Still totes murk.
Snake dog IPA, Flying Dog, 7.1%
Another one from Flying Dog! This IPA has a different flavour, think of grapefruits in a forest. Theres loads of pine flavours coming through with the hops and it taste quite boozey. Its got a thick orange body body thats got some good malt flavours. Great bbq beer!
It’s that time of year where, as a teacher, I begin to look forward to the summer.
I miss summer. I’m 100% in my element then. Then, I have the freedom and time to just exist in my space, breathe deeply, inhabit my body, create, be inspired, enjoy each moment, and live life to the fullest.
I don’t fancy myself a model or a socialite or a trendsetter or even a role model— just a girl looking for a way to connect and express everything I love and want in life. Looking forward to getting back to writing and figuring out this whole social media/blogger thing.
Thanks to everyone who reads this, and big thanks 🙏🏾 to everyone who’s been riding with me— from the creepers, lurkers, and thirsty dudes, to the awesome craftbeer “friends” I’ve made and people I love following ❤️
(If I tagged you, ily— you’ve made an impact on me here 😘)

A little Cinnamon Raisin Commodore for brunch. #beer
The perfect beer to pair with this strong Roquefort blue cheese. The pairing drastically improved both the beer and the cheese. Homerun! @jwleesbrewery Harvest Ale 2007
Last Wednesday, (I wanted to post this sooner but have been busy), my wife and I had the pleasure of attending the opening day of @familybusinessbeerco. Co-founded by 'Supernatural' star Jensen Ackles, I thought it was fantastic that the actor has a passion for beer and opened a brewery. I was disappointed that he did not attend, but I was NOT disappointed by the beer. The top three for me were The Fox, a buttery and biscuity rye Pilsner with a great spicy hop balance; King Biscuit, a malty ESB with a great noble hop and dark fruit balance; and Hamilton, a hazy Pale Ale with a mild buttered maltiness and hoppy citrus presence. I look forward to seeing how these guys will progress!!!

We had such a great time at @wildbarrelbrewing grand opening on Saturday that we forgot to take pics of their new offering and the party itself, but did manage a quick snap of their brew system. It was great hanging out with @rdebusk@threebzine_podcast and seeing the @burgeonbeer fellas enjoying their collaboration, all the while making some new friends and having spirited conversations. If you weren’t scared off by the long lines then you were rewarded with some truly fantastic brews. The Murky Minds Drink Alike was absolutely delicious and lived up to expectations, another couple standouts were the Mixed Berry Vice and The Hipster Chocolate Macaroon Stout 👌
Congrats again to Wild Barrel for such a successful opening day, and we are looking forward for more to come from these guys 🍻
