Yawn....one tired little Northern Saw-whet Owl!! Must have had a busy night hunting! What sweet little ones they are!! I couldn’t believe how small they were the first time I saw one recently! I’m sure I’ve walked right by many of them on my hikes!! Have a great day all!!! 🦉🦉
Most people don't realize that the antler growing process is an annual one. They'll start to fall off in a month or so, and then grow all summer to prepare for the rut in the fall.
This is a photo from last year, I was crazy lucky to see this guy three days in a row, one day with both antlers, the next day with only one, and finally day 3, pictured here. Can't wait to snap more pics like this!!!

We went out yesterday and started doing a bit of filming. I always talk about wanting to try some sort of film project but never really do anything with the idea. Yesterday I figured I'd put my money where my mouth is and just try creating something. It may never see the light of day, but at least I'll be a little bit more prepared for filming and editing something else in the future.
If you have something on your mind that you want to try, just try it. Any idea that isn't put to action will fail.
Our #TuesdayThoughts? Get out of your comfort zone. You won’t regret trying something new. 🍁

This is another image of the beautiful Coyote I saw a few weeks back! She was sitting at the base of the tree waiting for a Squirrel to come down! I like how she blends in with the surroundings and is framed by the v in the tree trunk. These animals are so amazing, and don’t deserve the bad press they get. They mostly hunt squirrels, mice, voles and rabbits. So many people think the hunt cats and dogs. It does happen on rare occasions , but is not the norm. They are wonderful, social animals, that are so family oriented, and deserve our respect. @thecanidproject 🐺

I have seen Lynx with many different body types. Some are very thin and gangly. Some are powerful and thick. This one is built like a wrestler with thick muscles and a lot of power.
What better for a snowy Friday than this beautiful Red Fox...on a very cold, but sunny winters day! We are getting so much snow here in Toronto!! Love it!! Have a great weekend all! This was taken in a campground in Algonquin Provincial Park last winter! I’ve seen fox tracks there this year...but I haven’t seen the fox who made them yet!! Love these awesome animals!! 🦊❄️🦊 #foxyfriday

From @cbcnews: Nearly 400 people braved cold of –33 with the wind chill at The Forks in Winnipeg to take part in a weekend attempt to break the world record for the longest skating chain. ⠀
The group unofficially broke the record of 370 skaters set in Hachinohe, Aomori, Japan, in 2015. ⠀
To set a new record, the skaters had to create one continuous line with each skater holding onto the waist of the person in front, like a giant conga line on skates⠀
The count still needs to be verified by Guinness World Records. ⠀
