Day 2/80 & Of all the equipment there is to use in all of the gym, I came here & only used my Resistance Loops. Literally could have just stayed home & did this entire workout, but instead I chose to get out & people since all I do is work, eat, sleep, & workout about 95% of the time. ((Not joking. That’s my life.)) I guess you could say I’m “that” girl & I’m tooootalllyyyy ok with it! Haha oh wellll 🤷🏻♀️
Yesterday was all about the 🍑! & Look y’all, the booty Pump I got was REAL. Ass is so sore this morning! You know me. I love incorporating new moves into my workouts pretty much on a daily basis to avoid boredom & continue to challenge myself & I felt all of these moves right where I wanted them– Deep inside the cheeks. 😏
Must watch til the end if you want to see how to quickly adjust yourself when these pesky bands decide to roll up on you. You can thank me later for that move ladies 🤣
Can’t wait to see what the end of these 80 days holds. I’ll try & get some “before” photos posted soon for those who are following along to see how things go.
What’s are some of your favorite moves to work the Glutes?? Would love to hear!
I’m feeling a little philosophical tonight. Maybe my ramblings can help someone out? Have you ever said to yourself, “I think I know what I’m supposed to be doing to get from A to B.” but yet you still do anything but that thing?
So many times our minds will trick us into thinking that comfort is the answer, when the answer more often than not is the path where you feel the most fear. I fall into this trap in various situations myself.
So why do we perceive taking action in the direction that we want as more painful than staying stuck?
It’s a matter of wanting to feel safe. When you step out into the unknown, immediately you feel tense, your mind races, & maybe you start to second guess your decision a whole lot. But the moment you step back into your comfy, cozy “box” it’s just...eh, it’s not scary, but it’s just “ok”. The catch here is you’re still uncomfortable!
Maybe you do this dance several times until you’re finally fed up enough to go through with your big decision that scares the living 💩 out of you... or maybe you stay stuck in your situation that you don’t really want to be in? Either way, the path between where you are now to where you want to be contains some level of fear, but you, the one who holds the pen to write the story of your life, gets to choose which fear you live your life through.
My thoughts: You will never regret something you decided to do that didn’t end up working out, but you will always regret never having the courage to do anything at all.
What are some of your thoughts on this subject?
that was a struggle this morning !! 😬💦.. 45 minutes of what felt like mostly pushups- and they ain’t my friends.. but i could feel myself getting better. my favourite part about this morning: the CONVENIENCE of my workout 🙃 i rolled out of bed at 615, let zoey out and fed her, then downstairs for the beautiful yellow drink that wakes me up, and pressed play 💻 all in a 30 minute span.. if i has to go to the gym, that would of taken me another 30 minutes to drive to the gym, get inside and ready, as well i return home 🏠 ... so for someone like me who LOVES her sleep, that is a huge deal 🤪
if you struggle to get to the gym because you don’t have “TIME” or don’t like having to wait for machines, look no further and HIT ME UP 📲.. i got you !! 💕
➡️➡️➡️ Swipe to see a super set from yesterday’s shoulder workout!
1️⃣ upright rows.
I enjoy doing these on the smith machine because that keeps my shoulder in proper alignment.
2️⃣ dumbbell lateral raises
Bear with me! This was my 4th set and obviously this was a very high rep super set!
I was struggling a bit to get those last reps (AS YOU SHOULD BE! PUSH YOURSELF!)
3️⃣ 50 step ups! 💀💀 (And when Despacito comes on during it you might bust a move 😂)
One thing that helps me stay lean year round is adding plyometrics into my lifts.
It makes the workout a lot higher of intensity and really keeps my heart rate up for maximum burn!🔥🔥🔥
Plus, being an athlete my entire life, I genuinely enjoy adding in exercises that play into agility and coordination to bring out my inner athlete like sprints, jumping, quick feet, etc.
Just like I don’t believe in eating anything I don’t like, I don’t believe in suffering through workouts I don’t enjoy.
This is a lifestyle I plan to sustain for the long haul. That wouldn’t be possible if I didn’t truly love it! ❤️
