Ambition tends to force you to only have a limited amount of time and energy for relationships, friendships and anything of that kind.
I'm very thankful for the people that support me even when I have to reschedule because I double booked myself, or when I mentally answer their texts but not physically.
I've packed my plate full and built myself more plates so I can take on more. I'm not easy to be around, but the few people who remain close are more valuable than anything else I could acquire in my lifetime.

1️⃣ Deep step ups: changed things up by stepping back and lunging vs. your regular step up. I felt these mostly in my hamstrings/glute but also in my quads. Holding 15lbs with these.
2️⃣ Elevated heel RDLs: these definitely help isolate those hard to reach hamstrings. Great to help use less of your quads. • •

on average I read a book a week. I read while I’m running on the treadmill every single day.
I read about forward thinking, manifestation, energies and anything that’s going to inspire me to push myself to be the best i can be.

Gotta love the forgotten old school exercises. Rarely will you see anyone do them in the gym anymore.
On a side note, it looks like I wont be squatting for a while. I stretched my quads today and pulled something on the top outer of my left knee. Now I cant bend that leg 😑
And my losing streak continues. Mike says I’m banned from going to any future Devils games!
Impromptu date nights are something we are taking full advantage of before we have kids. So today when he texted me at working saying he scored 2 last minute tickets, I knew we would have a blast (win or lose).
Maybe one day I’ll see the Devils win! ✨

I like to think of them as a backwards leg extension, they were introduced to me by watching @smith.julian doing them, so I thought I’d give them a try, ever since then they have been a staple in my leg days. They allow me to get a deeper stretch, which allows more fibers of the muscle to be broken down meaning more growth and definition. Though they were not easy to learn, and quite dangerous if done incorrectly. Key pointers are keeping a slow and controlled movement, because if you let momentum take over, on the way down your knees may come out injured or so tearing something. I’d recommend start doing them with just your body weight on the ground holding on to a bar or wall next to you to not fall over, and learn from there (as shown in the second video) before going into a smith machine or as shown a hack squat. If done correctly, leg development is guaranteed 👌🏼. Vid creds: @jerryjehanoc

It was one of those weeks with training where I just stayed the same...didn’t try to up the weight or intensity since I was feeling like doodoo💩Here’s the workout:
1️⃣Back Squats 4 x 8 @ 135 (just starting to get back into these after my back thing a few weeks ago)
2️⃣Chin-ups (not shown, but did these unassisted!) 3 x 10 (added these in as a replacement for DB stiff-legged deadlifts because Amber and I just did them in a class the day before!) 3️⃣3-second paused hip thrusts 4 x 8 @ 255 lbs
4️⃣45 degree DB hyperextensions (glute dominant) 4 x 30 with 25 lb DB (I want to curse and cry after these 😭)
5️⃣Extra range side-lying hip abduction (not shown) 3 x 30 each with 5lb ankle weight
6️⃣ Band quadruped hip extension with Slingshot hip circle band 3 x 30 each
7️⃣Single leg leg extensions (not shown) 4 x 12 each @ 40-45 lbs (these were extra just because I wanted to give my quads some more love ❤️)

Fall 2015, a day to remember 😏 @epopstyleagency aka #FashionBloggerMaven 😘 invited me to a special event claiming " ....for the DOPEST kids designer from the UK 🇬🇧 " quick to decline considering it was a school night, home with the boys, not willing to spontaneously head out etc. ( you know those typical Mom moments 😒 ) yet she wouldn't take " no " for an answer encouraging me to " ...just bring the boys.." 😅😓. Not to mention I had @myss_willis on the other line, ready to attend any event as always and offering her childcare skills 😂 " if " I should need her assistance 😒 Eventually I accepted, towing along 1 child...after careful consideration, Jayden + @myss_willis together would have caused mayhem 😫 Lo and behold, I had the pleasure to personally meet Amanda and view her @isossychildren collection and of course greatness just followed there after. Almost a year later Jayden would shoot with the phenomenal @creativesoulphoto !!!
