How important is Memory? - Pt2
Memory is a tool that helps every action and decision you'll ever make. It allows you to live again and again through every memory. According to Augustine, "All experience is present.", this is because whether it is future predictions or past memories we are experience them each time we think about them, we transport ourselves to the past or future to experience them and build on our database of all human experiences. How you analyse this data is key but any statistician or scientist can tell you that without a lot of data you are limited.
How can you make the right decisions or feel happy if you can't remember why you have been happy and when the decisions went right.
These things can be worked on by focusing and meditating on past experiences and trying to categorize and replay scenarios in your head.
Work on your memory, make it top priority and you will find out that the rest of your life will become surprisingly easier.
Send me a message if you want some personal solutions for your memory.

The answers lie in the silence. It’s where we can hear our greatest desires and when we can feel our gut instincts. The world is loud and in the noise we lose sight of what we want and who we really are. We make quick decisions with no thought and we over/under react because we are in a rush. It’s our role to teach and model slowing down and being mindful so that our kids and our future can gather their thoughts, make sense of their emotions, understand their choices and most importantly, they don’t go outward to find all that they need. ❤️❤️ #mindful#mindfulyouth#stopandlisten#confidentkids#empoweredyouth#endtobullying#nomoreyouthsuicide#meditate#rushtonowhere ❤️❤️
Why does Maeve have Miller Dieker syndrome? Miller Dieker syndrome is a genetic condition, caused by a deletion on chromosome 17. It occurs either randomly at conception, or due to a deletion/translocation being passed down from a parent. In Maeve's case, it was a random, spontaneous deletion. Noone knows why these deletions occur. All of us most likely have a bunch of micro deletions, duplications and/or translocations, but are totally unaffected. In some cases (like for Maeve) deletions can be of very important regions, and this is why Maeve is so sick. With genetic disorders, the size of the deletion can play a part in the severity of the disorder. We have chosen not to know the specifics around this, but we are aware that her deletion is relatively large.
