How the hell does life come and go so quick? I feel the same as I did 10 years ago and at the same time I have 7 years of college/grad school under my (evrerrr expanding) belt, a real job, shiiiiitiee adulthood duties and a nice wrinkle across my forehead. 😝 Regardless, suurrrree this life is a bumpy ride but it’s a good ride. I mean — WHO DOESN’T like that fluttery “I’m so freakin’ alive” feeling when you drive a hill too quick?!

Okay, so I didn’t have the biggest or best boat at anchor...far from it really...but I compensated by having the hottest 🔥 babe 😍 in the bay 🏝⛵️⚓️💦 winning!!! @vaidadta#hottie#rotto#thatwater
Day 819 - 4 miles. Getting out the door to run felt like a chore today, but once one of my friends and I got to running and chatting, I was so glad we were out there. Even fit in a mile faster at the end on a treadmill. About tripped and fell right off too 😂😑

"Life holds so many simple blessings, each day bringing its own individual wonder."
Just realizing that since I skipped #Paris market + #pfw last season (in October) that it’s been a year since I’ve been back! How wild - for the first 3 years of @plandeville I always went two times each year. But life is like that - sometimes your strategy changes a bit and you realize that you may not need to work in the exact same way as before - even if that change can make you uncomfortable. I remember groaning that I “had to go to Paris...” which was what made me realize that something was seriously out of balance. There is no time when it is *ever* appropriate to be groaning about going to Paris. Fast forward a year, a bit of a strategic shift, and I can’t wait to go back. 🖤 📷: @brandieraasch
Today’s rainy & cooler day on our vacay had me momentarily disappointed about the lack of expected sunshine ☔️😢
But after a fun outing and day off from the beach, I had recognized the #expectations that I had unknowingly set for the weather of my vacay 👎
These expectations we set for ourselfs are so naturally & unknowingly a huge part of our everyday mindset 🤔
We may be unaware of our habit that has us creating these thought processes that have us creating these stories in our minds about how and what it is that we decide we want & expect out of certain situations in our lives to play out .
From how our: work day, evening playout or even the outcomes of events- meetings & conversations in which we want other people to respond, react and behave 💫
My situation, in which I expected 7 days of tropical hot and sunny weather while on vacation ☀️ #itsmexico
was just that... my unrealistic but wishful thinking expectation that I set for this vacation 🌴
Take note of the expectations that you have managed to put on different situations in your life and take note of how it is that you respond to the reality of these situations 👌compared to your preconceived hopes of the situations #letitbe .

People are always going to be watching you. Watching every move...seeing if you're gonna trip up.

12.31.17 - Last sunset of 2017. In more ways than one, landscapes (and the weather systems that interact with them) fascinate me with their powerful ability to affect a person’s mood. While at times it may not even be realized, the manifestation of this effect is often profound.
In the place I least expected it, a place that is often called the “armpit of California,” I was amazed that such a gentle landscape could instill such calm into the piercing uncertainty that I barely had noticed was slowly eating away at my gut. As I drove past this scene on on the highway, everything about it struck a chord in me. The noise of the busy highway on New Year’s Eve faded to the back of my mind as I spun a quick U-ey, set up my camera, and released the shutter. By the time I finished, I noticed I could breathe more deeply. 🌅 || captured on unretouched expired #portra160nc#120film 🎞
