So my geography coursework is finally done - over 3000 pieces of rubbish has been collected from 12 beaches and the last beach that needed to be analysed was Bovi...270 pieces of rubbish was collected in 30 minutes which is pretty huge in comparison to other beaches - Bovi is only 66 metres wide, making it the most concentrated along the South Devon coast for litter and marine debris. I know most will probably ignore this post but to those that are reading; marine litter is a severe global issue and is something that needs to be addressed today for not only the health of the marine ecosystem and the environment but for ourselves too. It's becoming a increasingly bigger problem - so please, don't leave your rubbish when you go somewhere, put it in a bin or take it home, try and minimise the amount of plastic you use and pick up that bit of rubbish on the beach you see as you're walking past, even if it's just one single small piece of plastic - it makes a HUGE difference.💙🐬 #marine#litter#geography#coursework#environment#animals#beach#rubbish#beachclean#devon#bovisand#plymouth#england#global#earth#travel#travelling#plastic#love#fish#marinebiology#travel#travelling#marinescience#southdevon#surfersagainstsewage

Sand-wedge. Hence the presence of hungry sea gulls I suppose.
Lovely to spend last weekend in a beautiful part of the world! The house we stayed in was fantastic, it gave all 17 of us enough space to relax and enjoy ourselves! We went away for my Dads 60th birthday, all arranged by my mum. There was so much to do it’s made us want to go back soon! The kids faces were a joy to watch (most of the time 😂), they loved the pool, especially as we had the whole pool to ourselves, George loved waking up and spending all his time with his cousins! Mum arranged a caterer one night, she cooked us a three course meal that was amazing! Most of the family went clay pigeon shooting that was on site and we all went to the beach on the Sunday and were so lucky with the weather! Our fantastic weekend ended with a brilliant Sunday roast! #Weekendaway#familytimes#SouthDevon # #ashcombe#outdoors#catering#bigfamily#cousins#newborn#roadtrip#pool#swimming#ashcombeadventurecentre

They were inquisitive today and came to say hello ❤️
Let’s kick off the storytelling with this very touching post from @viks_pops - see her original post for more photos of her grandfather...
I’m so in love with my feather tattoo at the moment. I’ve always loved it, when I had it done 5 years ago it was because I was going through a tough time and I needed strength and courage which is what feathers symbolise for me, as well as freedom - there was something, or should I say someone, I needed to break free from at the time and, silly as it sounds, it helped me find the strength to do that. Little did I know I’d need even more strength a few months later when my absolutely amazing Grandad died after a long battle with dementia. Watching him disappear, both physically and mentally, before my eyes was the most heartbreaking thing I’ve ever had to go through. On Monday, it will be 4 years since the bravest man I have ever met left us to be with his wife and his son. I hope you are all happy up there (no doubt Nan is nagging as usual, so normal life has resumed for you both 😂). Not a day goes by when I don’t think about you or miss you Grandad.

Tolix style industrial chairs perfect for indoor or outdoor use. Great wear & patina.
Would be lovely around a rustic table.
Hands up all dog owners who took a trip to the beach this weekend with their four legged friends? 🐶
This pic from @chez_l_art really made us smile - just look at that little fella having such fun at Goodrington!
